Although I'm not getting Halo 3 because I'm very let down by the beta. I would recommend to anyone to get the standard edition. It's ridiculous to pay extra (is it really an extra $50!?) for a piece of memorabilia and some extra video content that I guarantee will be available online within a week of it launching.

yea i was let down by it too, but it still should be a good game with new gameplay additions (buble shield, trip mines, etc.) that should keep it interesting.

i also thinking paying an extra 70 dollars for a miniature helmet and some extra content is kinda ridiculous.

In another thread you mentioned you only have a PS3, so did you actually play the demo?

I wondered the same thing O o

And even if you did play the demo, Dallinor, how would you buy the game anyway without a 360?

This one I am seriously considering. The art book and soundtrack are nice features plus Rockstar needs the money it seems.

I'm also considering of getting both versions and each on one platform. One on PS3 and one on 360. But I gotta see at the time if I feel like spending that much money...

Thanks to Blacksaber for the sig!

Your an inquisitive lot :)

Yes I have played the beta, twice.

My friend has a premium 360, I spend alot of time playing video games in his house.

I also own the original Xbox, and Halo 2. So the quality of Halo 3 was really going to be a deciding factor for me buying a 360 or not.

Suffice to say the beta fell well below my expectations.

Back on topic, I had originally thought it was only a $50 increase for the legendary edition, but a $70 increase is just plain madness.

Never set foot on Cuba in my life.

I'm getting one for selling on Ebay

Heeeeyyyy!!!! <Snap>

The legendary edition would be a hot seller on ebay? if thats the case ill buy 3 legendary editons

No, I'll be getting the $20 or $30 platinum edition in a couple years. I figure MS should have a $200-250 system that doesn't break by then.
