Forums - Microsoft - Braid is the best game on Xbox 360.

Since no one else seems to want to discuss this game, I'll start:

I have owned a 360 and a PS3 for some time now, and despite the variety of games on XBL, I have fairly consistently preferred PSN: my favorite games across both systems were, up until now, SSD, Echo Chrome, Pixel Junk Monsters and Pixel Junk Eden.

And now I think my favorite of all of these is Braid. The story is hokey and (I would hope intentionally) verbose, but it is already my favorite 360 game and quite possibly my favorite HD game. Play it! Buy it!


Great visuals, great gameplay, and excellent, excellent music.

Like I said in the other thread, I played the trial recently, and I have to say I was surprised! Especially 1-2, with that platform puzzle. That was damn good! XD

Oh yeah, and there's a Mike Oldfield song in the game (one of his best as well)! Another surprise!

I'm still not sure if 1200 points is worth it. Is the game long?

*P.S.: I think Bionic Commando Rearmed is going to get that honor soon. Maybe then, Braid will be the best exclusive XBLA title! =P

Why is Bionic Commando Rearmed 2 getting so much hate? We finally get a real game and they're not even satisfied... I'm starting to hate the gaming community so f****** much...

Microsoft should've shown this game on E3, it's getting great reviews everywhere

It's short, and Braid is not exclusive. I actually don't agree with the reviews: they focus ont he game being "deep" and "intellectual," which largely it is not. The story is not engrossing or profound, but verbose and bloated.

I say that while still loving this game :p

imo, it's a leap below Symphony of the Night, but it's still probably the second best downloadable game on a console that's not an Xbox original.

Well, I've heard it's also coming to PC, right? I might just ask my brother to lend me his credit card just for some MS points... I'm glad you're loving the game though!

Perhaps the best game on the Xbox Live Arcade, but on the whole system is a real stretch. Still, it sounds like a great game and one I would buy if I ever got into XBL (which I hope to do some time soon).

By far the best game on Xbox Live until August 27th. So far it's way up there on being one of the best of this generation thus far. I just loved the pulling your hair out in frustration logic puzzles and the ending was brilliant.
