The last i heard, Camelot was taking a break from Nintendo to develop a PC MMO Golf game and Wii Sports did not see any contribution from Camelot. I feel camelot are missing out on their greatest opportunity to develop the best Mario Golf and Mario Tennis games. The wiimote is the best joypad for Camelots games.

It has been 4 years since the last Mario Golf  and 3 years since the last Mario Tennis. Which means Camelot is overdue on their most famous franchise. I sure hope they get their act togeather for an announcement at E3. There was some news about an RPG developed by camelot for the Wii. Maybe Golden Sun for the Wii. While I do appreciate Golden Sun on the Wii, without Mario Tennis and Mario Golf, the Wii would mis 2 killer apps.

Mario Gold: Toldstool Tour was released in 2003(2 years after the cubes launch)
Mario Power Tennis was released in 2004(3 years after the cube was launched and was probobly rushed)

They still have time.

There is no chance Nintendo would NOT release the Mario Sports... titles on the Wii. Its too perfect a match, and a no-brainer really.

But they probably biding their time (next year at least), waiting until the install base grows and more.

I'm sure someone in Nintendo HQ has a list of ALL their games, and roughly when they want to develop/release them over the next 4-5 years :)

The only real Q is whether Camelot would be involved - or Nintendo develop the internally, or pass off to another developer. 

Camelot is supposed to be making a Wii RPG right now. Maybe thats because no Mario sports games yet.

There's a lot of Nintendo games waiting for a new version on Wii. F-Zero, 1080, Wave Race, Star Fox, Mario Kart/Golf/Tennis/DDR?... But the system is still new, so they need to balance the releases through the lifetime of the console. Let's wait :D...

Let's hope that each and every Mario Sports game that comes out on the Wii gets online. I love playing against my brother... he usually kicks the crap out of me in most games, but every once in awhile I find a game that I'm way better then him at... Mario Strikers for the cube was one of those games so I'm really glad strikers has online play.

Darn it, my most 2 anticipated Mario Spin Off games are a Mario Tennis and Mario Golf on the WII :( Would really suck if these games wouldn't come to the WII. Plus maybe a great idea, Mario Boxing :D Ehe can't wait to beat the crap out of Princess Peach :D

I'm still waiting on Mario Football (American style), myself. I can see why that's nt a priority for them, though, as it wuld be DOA in Japan and the PAL regions.

Previously, I was never interested in either of these games but on the Wii they would work very well. They should make 'em Wii Sports with Mario characters and more depth.
