Forums - Nintendo - More New Dead Rising Wii Screens

I'm more interested to know how they work in Wiimote gameplay.

I seldom ever used a gun in this game and instead used mostly mannequin torsos (which were the most durable weapons in the game, it seemed) so I'm wondering how they'll work melee combat in.

"I mean, c'mon, Viva Pinata, a game with massive marketing, didn't sell worth a damn to the "sophisticated" 360 audience, despite near-universal praise--is that a sign that 360 owners are a bunch of casual ignoramuses that can't get their heads around a 'gardening' sim? Of course not. So let's please stop trying to micro-analyze one game out of hundreds and using it as the poster child for why good, non-1st party, games can't sell on Wii. (Everyone frequenting this site knows this is nonsense, and yet some of you just can't let it go because it's the only scab you have left to pick at after all your other "Wii will phail1!!1" straw men arguments have been put to the torch.)" - exindguy on Boom Blocks

cant wait till the game play trailer is released

If they release this game looking WORSE (and not a little) that RE4, then it's a shame for Capcom...

As before, I'll reserve my opinion until I see this in action. I remember how horrible the screenshots for Corruption looked - those screens looked a lot worse than this.

The main difference between those shots & RE4 are the textures. And they will definitely be worse, given they are coming from the 360 version.

The lighting engine would really help make it look better. The more screenshots I see, the more it looks exactly the same.

The number of Zombies thing is fine, but the muddy textures, and lighting not getting better 4 months from release isn't promising that the game will look any different when it comes out.

I hope that the game really does look up to par with the 360 version of the game, as of right now, my hopes may be dashed.

I am getting sick of developers cashing in on the Wii like they are :/
The thing is people chose too look at the bad looking games and say how bad the Wiis graphical capabilities are and forget that grater looking games exist. Ignorant idiots

Capcom way the f are you showing us pics off a game were more then half of the anemies have no shadows?

this was not directed too anyone as I did not read every post it was just something I had too get of my chest…

@Roma: While I think that we shouldn't jump to conclusions, you asked a pertinent question. Why release these screenshots?

I know they want to publicize their game, but they should release some quality screenshots, or just not release any... After all, the only thing we can see in screenshots are the graphics, no matter how great the gameplay is.

The point is, I don't see much marketing value in releasing these screenshots if they're planning to improve the graphics (which I seriously hope is the case). But who knows what goes through their mind.

How long have they been working on this game? It was my understanding that they're still pretty early on.

Good question. I second this.

Haha I can't believe nobody pointed out you seconded yourself.
