Forums - Nintendo - More New Dead Rising Wii Screens

The 360 version doesn't have great graphics either, but at least they're using the shaders for the environments.

I understand trading graphics for number of characters, but I refuse to believe that's the best they can do.

I suspect it will improve in some areas (primarily in lighting effects and some improvement in the environmental detail) but other areas are not going to improve that much (looking at the XBox 360 version shows that the Zombies are really not that detailed in it either).

It doesn't look that good to me. The 360 screen posted by Avalach21 looks 100 times better. I find the 3 screens from the Wii version looking the same if not worse than RE4.

I hope they will greatly improve the game until release.

The 360 version looks SO much better in comparison.

I mean...this RE4 style worked for RE4...it's dark and scary...Dead Rising is supposed to be more colorful and crazy...

I understand it can't support as much lighting, but that's what really makes it different...muddy textures wouldn't look as bad if some windows on the roof lit up the room more. As it is now, the zombies just mush together in a grey blob along with the background.

I'm still somewhat excited for the game...I love zombies and I loved Dead Rising...but I don't see anything impressive yet...this does look worse than RE4. There may be more zombies than RE4, but the low-contrast, grey zombie horde doesn't fit with Dead Rising.  The background I guess is what kills it...just no color or lighting.

Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release.  (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )

I don't mind if the 100-room zombies take a dip in graphical presentation, but the main character looks lonly a little better than them. The jaggies sword isn't helping the last picture either. However, I'd play the game either way.

I just saw Metal Gear Solid 1 footage yesterday and I'm dying to play it in that ol' PS form.

Leatherhat on July 6th, 2012 3pm. Vita sales:"3 mil for COD 2 mil for AC. Maybe more. "  thehusbo on July 6th, 2012 5pm. Vita sales:"5 mil for COD 2.2 mil for AC."

I think it's what Ben said. It's not the technical limitations, it's that the game looks a bit too dark in comparison with the 360 one.

How long have they been working on this game? It was my understanding that they're still pretty early on.

Good question. I second this.

I'm a mod, come to me if there's mod'n to do.

Chrizum is the best thing to happen to the internet, Period.

Serves me right for challenging his sales predictions!

Bet with dsisister44: Red Steel 2 will sell 1 million within it's first 365 days of sales.

Not sure, but it comes out this holiday, so it doesn't have much longer to go...

It's certainly early on since they announced it but couldn't tell you when work started.  I'm sure they'll want it released for this holiday season though, it's a miss for me as I hated the 360 version, such a boring pointless game imo.

4-5 months is plenty of time to clean up the textures and such. I wouldn't worry too much. And besides, Dead Rising was never about good graphics anyway; it's about how many enemies they can cram on screen at the same time.

"'Casual games' are something the 'Game Industry' invented to explain away the Wii success instead of actually listening or looking at what Nintendo did. There is no 'casual strategy' from Nintendo. 'Accessible strategy', yes, but ‘casual gamers’ is just the 'Game Industry''s polite way of saying what they feel: 'retarded gamers'."
