I have a friend that bought a Wii just so he can go to a bar and ask a girl if she would like to go back to his place and play with his Wii.

Well, I've been thinking about getting a 60GB model PS3, but for what reason? NO PS3 GAMES! I'm only getting it to play PS2 games because they appeal to me A LOT (FFX, FFX-2, FFXII, KH1, KH2 etc.) and to use it as a Blu-Ray/DVD player. Sorry guys, but the PS3 has NO GAMES that interest me AT ALL. All the games I see on the system seem more like upgrades of what we had for last gen (FPS, racing etc...), so they don't appeal to me one bit.

That has to be one of the dumbest statements ever.So PS2 games appeal you A LOT ,and the PS3 games that are mostly  the new iterations of those games of last generation doesnt appeal you AT ALL.I think you have a personality disorder. 

I'm sorry, but you don't throw something degrading to someone else. I'm tired of people slamming others because of their own OPINIONS! It's called PERSONAL PREFERENCE, and I enjoyed a lot of the PS2 games more than what's available on the PS3, or it doesn't have or never will get. I'm not just getting the PS3 for playing upscaled PS2 games, I'm also going to get it for FFXIII and FFXIII: Versus (or whatever way you type the Versus for the FFXIII game). I'm also getting it for the RPGs, IF the PS3 gets some. And the PS3 games out on the market don't impress me at all. I expect something new and innovating, which is the reason I got a Wii because I want to play games differently (such with motion, and it's not waggling to me with the game I OWN; Endless Ocean, S&M:ATOG, Wii Fit etc.). Plus I'm into games that require thinking skills and are not violent. I absolutely HATE violence with a passion because there is enough of it in our modern world with these stupid wars and domestic crimes. I'm TIRED of it. If I want to go watch something violent, I'll watch a movie or TV for it. I'm looking at you, GTA (I played it a few times at a friends house, and got very bored with it).

Trust me, Sony WAS NOT being innovative when they threw in the tacked-on SIXAXIS at the last moment like some kid wanting to spice up their science fair project by spraying something with glitter. That's lame and is showing that they are not a LEADER, but a FOLLOWER and a COPYCAT. Along with their ridiculous PR spins and moronic actions, the deserve the DEE-DEE-DEE award from Carlos Mencia for being 'duh-duh-dumb!' The other reasons, for Blu-Ray and watching DVDs being upscaled is a plus to me. I REALLY want to enjoy the Blu-Ray version of Planet Earth. I adore nature a lot and science (which is why I LOVE Endless Ocean for the Wii), and I always want to learn new things, which is why I don't play games where you don't have to think (just do).

If you don't like how people prefer a system to just get the games they want on it, then respect it and keep your own OPINIONS to yourself, all right? And I find that "I think you have a personality disorder" statement as a flame. WHY? I have autism (Asperger's Syndrome), and that's VERY offensive to me. I'm not hurt and I'm not going to go cry in a corner; it pissed me off. Expect yourself to be reported by me to Twesterm, since he already knows of me being autistic, and to me, that's a flame and a degrading remark. Please keep your own opinions and thoughts TO YOUR SELF. Thank you. Oh, and if you decide to degrade me again on this same thread, I'm still going to report you because I'm sick of people, like you, going around without being dealt with. I've seen you on the forums before, along with others, and I'm tired of it all. Just keep your own opinions to yourself (as in having them IN YOUR HEAD); think with your brain and not with your keyboard

in future , valkyre chronicles, little big planet, resistance2 or white knight chronicles

It's a really fun and unique game. I really reccomend it.

resistance : fall of man . is a great , fast paced , 1st person shooter
i suggest it because
1. its not far off from any 1st shooter game that u havnt played on the 360
2. no long stories, short and beautiful cgs scenes , a sexy british girl narrowates(omg i know i spelt that wrong) the story
3.the sql is coming out november

Sorry if you felt insulted ,but I still think that you liking PS2 games a LOT and not liking PS3 games (that are mostly iterations of those games but with way better graphics ,music ,IA ,online mode etc) AT ALL doesnt have too much sense.

It's lot like buying a cellphone these days.  Sure the phone may be able to text message, browse the internet, check your email, manage your daily appointments, play games, and iron your pants but some people just need it to make phone calls and that's it.

That doesn't mean that they're wrong to not use all those features, it's simply that they don't feel they have a need for them.  Nothing is set in stone though, someone who buys a phone just to make calls may try text messaging or phone games just as someone who buys a PS3 might try the games or Bluray movies and decide that those are useful/fun.
