Totally agree. Looks like Ghostbusters throw shit around the room electric beam, exploding, electric craziness. Wow this def. un appreciated. |
And that is just a custom level... the best part is the living creatures to find, zap and "capture" (we know we're really squeezing the power out of them).
The boss battles are all decent too, they have an old school feel to them.
Man, I wish I hadn't traded this in :(
I better go rebuy it.
I would cite regulation, but I know you will simply ignore it.
best wii game

end of core gaming days prediction:
E3 2006-The beginning of the end. Wii introduced
E3 2008- Armageddon. Wii motion plus introduced. Wii Music. Reggie says Animal crossing was a core game. Massive disappointment. many Wii core gamers selling their Wii.
E3 2010- Tape runs out

Never cared for it. Although a friend on mine took to it like crack cocaine - played it for hours until I kicked him out. Thank goodness he now has his own Wii for Elebits 2.
Elebits was more of a "proof of concept" game than an actual game, and I played it all the way through to the end of all 29 levels.
I kept thinking that the gameplay felt like a concept that should be part of a larger game, like a forensics game. Shame CSI for the Wii sucked so badly.
"I mean, c'mon, Viva Pinata, a game with massive marketing, didn't sell worth a damn to the "sophisticated" 360 audience, despite near-universal praise--is that a sign that 360 owners are a bunch of casual ignoramuses that can't get their heads around a 'gardening' sim? Of course not. So let's please stop trying to micro-analyze one game out of hundreds and using it as the poster child for why good, non-1st party, games can't sell on Wii. (Everyone frequenting this site knows this is nonsense, and yet some of you just can't let it go because it's the only scab you have left to pick at after all your other "Wii will phail1!!1" straw men arguments have been put to the torch.)" - exindguy on Boom Blocks

I traded it for part of (I go like $7) The World Ends with You... TWEWY is a great game (better than Elebits in ways) but I should not have traded Elebits.

29 levels isn't enough, with tons of replay value because of all the modes? Level Editor and Sharing? Multiplayer? Dozens of challenge levels?
Okay. We have different tastes. Even though, for $15 that you can get it for now do you think that concept is worth it?

I rented it from Blockbuster. It's one of the best games I've played on the Wii. The wiimote is used brilliantly in the game. Very fun game for both core and casual gamers.

29 levels was too many for me.
The mechanic was cute, but it wasn't a full game. You move objects, find things and click on them. That was it. Not to mention the fact that the rapid button mashing required to collect a pile of Elebits murdered my hand.
The game needed more depth. I was done with the concept after 10 levels, but it went on for another 19.
