Sony fans are always in denial...what a shame. Good luck with the 10 years plan.

Last I checked Sony made the top selling console to date...

Well before the 5th generation Nintendo had the best selling console to date and it didn't help them any that gen. The Ps2 currently being the best selling console to date does not help the ps3 whatsoever!!

its amazing this 10 year plan, ps3 will sell for about 15 million a year no lows no highs just steady 15 million a year, yeah that makes real sense

Another one... Why dont you also read Bonkers post.

With the exception of the Neo-Geo, no non-dominant console has never lived longer than 5 years with enough support to have 2 games released every month; and Sony's 10 year plan doesn't seem to be preventing the PSP's upcomming software line-up from rapidly shrinking. Why will Sony be successful with the PS3 when so many others (including Sony) have failed before them?

Being that the bulk of the PS3's current fanbase seems to be early adopter (graphic whore) gamers who seem to be the first to flee, to move onto the next-best thing, what's going to keep these gamers on the PS3 when it is (drastically) outperformed in every way by a system that is very affordable?

With massive development costs preventing game developers, who focus on games that appeal to the mass-market (typical) gamer, from developing games on the PS3 why are the gamers who tend to buy and/or support a system later in its life going to buy a PS3?

When Blu-Ray players are sold at Walmart for $50 (or less) why are people going to be looking to buy a PS3 for Blu-Ray functionality?

The fact is that the PS3 getting outsold 2:1 by the Wii today is a good indication that the PS3 will be outsold by the Wii through out its life, and even if the PS3 has a long life for a trailing console the Wii's lifespan will probably be longer.

isn't the ps2 on a 10 year plan at the moment? the same is going to happen with the ps3, sony will just keep it and concentrate on a newer console when the next Xbox is released.

edit: woah at your sig, you need to give the 360 some love!

It won't sell that many every year. It will drop every year just like every console in history has.

Hence some Sony fans are in denial that the trend of top selling consoles simply isn't going to continue this generation. The past is the past, the Sony fans that are in denial are in denial about the present.

it will never outsell the Wii if the Ps3 sells 100 million the Wii will sell 200 million.

The third one... Read Bonkers post. Vice versa for the nintendo fans, they to are in denial of the ps3 beating the Wii

in sales.
