when has "larger text" considered an "improvement"????

I mean, i know people jokingly say that Wii is for older people, but this is getting ridiculous.

I think you're playing dumb, but... for example, I would very much welcome if GTA4 had larger text. At times, I can barely read it on my 32'' screen from a near distance.

there's a need to read text in GTAIV??? I also play mine at 32 inch Sony TV, and I never actually need to read much of anything.

no, I wasn't playing dumb, listing "Larger text" as some kind of "feature" is just sad. I said the same thing about IPhone 3G with non-recessive headphone port, and I'm saying it again about this.

Cellphone messages. If I remember correctly, that's what I had trouble reading.

This game is shaping up well. I wonder what it's price will be? $30 or $40 would be fantastic. Wasn't RE4:Wii Edition only $30?

I really doubt this would be discounted that much.  RE4 was not only a port of a previous generation game but it was a port of a game that could be played without any problems on the Wii (the GC version that is).  They had to motivate people to buy the Wii version simply for the Ada missions and new controls.

Dead Rising can't be played on the Wii using another version.  It will be releasing 3 years after the 360 release (a longer gap than RE4 GC -> RE4 Wii) but it's still considered a current gen franchise so i'm guessing they'd keep it full price.  Maybe $40 but i'd be surprised if it was $30.

There was plenty of bitching about Dead Rising 360's text, so I don't know why anyone would stoop to nitpicking about this.

in before the sony fans ruin this thread... too late lol

OT: cant wait for it

If you played Dead Rising on an non-HDTV KoW you would understand it.

The text is illegible. I have perfect vision and I could barely make it out. So fixing the text is huge for non-HDTV owners.

100 on screen at once is okay. Not the mayhem that the 360 version was, but okay nonetheless...

This game has to be budget priced, no way anyone would pay full price for a 30 month old game.

The text of Dead Rising based on the game being played in widescreen, and letterboxing it just makes the font smaller, and Capcom did apologize for that.

BTW, didn't see the onscreen part. That could mean there would be even more than that in an area, just not as large a cluster.

The underground parking lot around the two trucks should be the best way to compare this.

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

Plus, just for the hell of it: Kelly Brook at the 2008 BAFTAs

Yeah, once you reach the underground, we'll see how 100 enemies will work out.

There had to be 500 on the 360 version, it was just jam-packed with Zombies.

To be fair, it is kingofwale. Nitpicking and pointless complaining are quite typical of him.

Overtime mode has always been considered part of the main game. It's on the same disk, and finishes the story. I suppose on the 360 version they could have automatically started it if you finished the cases and were at the helipad on time, but that's just a minor gripe, certainly not worth making a fuss over.

As for the difficulty, you can't really make it any easier when as early as the first area you can pick up a weapon that kills in one hit. Get the real mega buster and triple booked chainsaws and even the bosses are a joke. I suppose it could be made harder if katanas and such 1-hit kill weapons broke faster and were less common, but then you can just adjust your own difficulty level by not picking them up.

The save system could use an overhaul and I applaud them for the effort, but to use it as a selling point seems like grasping at straws to me.

Yea haha.  I just bought the 360 version used for $20 so it better be budget price.  And that to me means like $30.  I might go as high as $40 but I'd prefer 30 haha.  But if its $50 no way in hell will I buy the game haha.
