Forums - Sales - Deca Sports ships 700k World Wide

Gosh I'm on the internet way too much.

I remember the article from... err aww hell.

There was something that I read off of N4G not even three months ago that claimed developers or publishers were comparing Wii to Atari in fact the article was titles something along the lines of.

"party x warns party y that Wii is looking just like the Atari."

My guess is the few people who read that must of held on to the straws that article was grasping for. I just remember placing it under "Waste of time" and moved on.

I'm Unamerica and you can too.

Around the Network

None of these Deca sports, big bleach, game party, carnival games are full price. They're all about half price games and advertised at the end of supermarkets aisles etc and picked up by mothers when they go shopping.

They have a purpose and serve it well - dont think any third parties are gonna get deterred by these games sales.

Carnival Games still sells at $40 in the US.

Big Beach and Deca Sports are $30. Game Party is $20 (Gamestop was selling for $25).

I have all four and I can tell you that Deca Sports is the least enjoyable one. Only the badminton and curling are fun to play. Plus, while the others are individual based, Deca Sports makes you place yourself on a team. Also, the high score markers are a bit high to start out with -- meaning you can't get that instant gratification which casual gamers like so much. (There is a reason why Nintendo would not let their Miis be used by semi-partner Hudson in this game. It is not that good).

Meanwhile, Big Beach Party has unique games (where else am I going to play Beach Cricket) and is individual based. It even links to the DS for face creations. It sees a lot more playing time.

I like to jump around, and would lead a fairly serene and aimless existence if it weren't for my friends always getting into trouble. I love to help out, even when it puts me at risk. I seem to make friends with people who just can't stay out of trouble.
