Forums - Gaming - Did anyone else find that Lost Odyssey was stupidly hard?

I didn't find it too bad. I maybe died a few times in the beginning but thats about it. Some of the bosses were a little rough but I wouldn't say hard. I think the most challenging parts were the backyard battles and DLC dungeon. The DLC boss especially is a pain. I would put difficulty above most Final Fantasy games though....as much as I like them I haven't found any to be that hard even the very old school ones.

I haven't played it but I don't know any JRPG that could be described as hard. Perhaps only SMT:Nocturne but that was more cheap than hard (Mahamaon and Mamudoons lol)

LO is not that hard.  You just need the proper strategies to beat the enemies in the game

Does proper strategy mean looking on gamefaqs for a way to beat the boss because it's almos impossible to figure it out on your own.

Does anyone know if this game is harder/easier than FFIV? I think FFIV is really hard so I don't think I would grab an harder game.



How many cups of darkness have I drank over the years? Even I don't know...

 maybie im counting the bosses wrong because if you count the snake thing as the first boss that thing was imposible untill you figured out the exact strategy...and during the whole battle im sure that the game was cheating trying to beat me.

 

I mean the thing on the hilltop.

It is not quite like folklore where you have to have precisely the right folk, though having the right rings does help in this game

FFIV DS which is on the same difficulty as the Japanese version of the original is much harder. The original U.S version not so much.

Didn't think it was ridiculously hard, no, but it's definitely a bit more challenging than JRPGs usually are these days. My party actually got wiped out a few times, which was nice for a change.

 I think you got the MGS4 ps3 right? You should play the Shin Megami Tesei games. I can guarantee that your party will get wiped out more than a few times lol.
