You guys do know that Neither Microsoft or Sony have this ball you speak of right? The DS is getting the most SE support out of everything. SE is really handheld focused, and I don't see that changing anytime soon. Also I don't think they OWE anything to anybody. FFXIII is their game and I don't see what the problem is when other people play it. As long as you get to play the game on your console of choice I don't see what the problem is. I am fairly happy with what was announced/showned at SE Party, and TGS should be better. *crosses fingers for some DQIX info, and FFVI remake* Oh and the guy who mentioned sony getting this ball isn't even from SE.

the problem is multiplatform games often sucks ass and feels half baked. I havent enjoyed one single multiplatform game this gen. If the 360 got ff13 exclusive i wouldnt feel so pissed since i would be able to enjoy it on my 360 instead.

I don't see why they would when developement on the 360 version won't start until after the PS3 version is done. So they are basically developing the same game that they started out with, but going to port it over to the 360 AFTER the game is done.

oh square enixs words doesnt mean shit anymore. They still have to design the game for two platforms, meaning you cant use the strengths from either of the consoles. So even if it gets portet after the game is done it would still be developed for multiplatform.

Then wouldn't the console getting the ported version suffer? If the game is going to originally be developed for the PS3 then it uses the PS3s benefits. Then when ported to the 360 they will have to make it suit the 360 better. SO the main developement platform gets the better version, unless the port turns out well.

They said both versions would look the same right? Or at least look similar. Meaning they have to limit the strengths of both consoles when they develop the game. Sure the main development platform gets the better version. But thats not the point, the game is designed to be multiplatform. it doesnt matter if they do it on the ps3 first, the game will not be optimized for the 360 or the ps3.

people, don't derail this thread, remember this thread is only about the S-E announcement that would make PS3 supports happy after the loss of FF13 to the 360.

Now for me, announcing a FF13 DEMO is NOT a BIG announcement, especially when it's only been announced for Japan this far, and who are getting FF13 exclusively anyways.

All I can say is, WTF where they thinking when the came up with dumb idea, what type of drugs where they taking? o.0

come on people, lets take a guess!!! :)

do you know what would be funny, if the PS3 version was 250x150 resolution, and had a frame rate of 10, while the 360 version ended up being 1080p, running at 60 fps, LOLz worthy :)

lol "swing the ball sony's way" with a demo? The only reason they added the demo was to sell their own shitty movie

Who said Sony = PS3 now? They announced PE: T3B and Agito XIII for the PSP and that's pretty nice news.

PSP isn't the same as PS3. I wouldn't be surprised if more PS3 owner owns a DS than a PSP.

How many cups of darkness have I drank over the years? Even I don't know...

@masterb8tr So you are angry because the graphics aren't going to be the best they could be? The gameplay and story will be the same and that is all I really care about. The graphics will most likely be some of the best on both consoles as well.

if i didnt care about graphics i would have bought a wii(will buy one sooner or later though). Audio quality is also something that will suffer because this game is multiplatform. I like huge games with alot of sidequests, caves to explore ect. And i was hoping that would happen due to the blu ray. I am also angry because the delay and i  am angry because they lied about it being an exclusive.

Edit: oh if jap audio is not included in the pal version i would be furious on a blu ray they would have more than enough space for it.

As you should be, because the PS3 version will not come out till the 360 version is complete, and at the moment the 360 version development hasn't even begun.

Couldn't they compensate with using more discs in the 360 version. As for the graphics, it gets prety bad when you are complaining over what most likely will be a small difference. The game will probably look much better than FFX, or FFXII and the art direction so far looks fantastic.  The only reason I really agree with you about is the delay.

Just because it's made on a PC doesn't mean it's made for a PC. =I
