Forums - Microsoft - Question about Arcade 360 version.

does it use a propriortary 512MB storage for saved games? or can you insert memory card into it?

How big is a normal game-save?

Also, what processor is in the current one? And does it have HDMI out?

You need either a HD or memory card for saved games.

You can also use an external USB drive for game saves (I used one of those pocket drives you can buy at Costco in Canada)

It has HDMI out...

Same processor as the other 360's...

Game saves vary quite drastically from game to game... Many about 100K... Some are many megabytes.

The game save space is biggest issue for me.

It comes with a 256mb memory card (I believe)

Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?

i've got an arcade 360. With 12 games finished (mass effect, bioshock, oblivion, dead rising, eternal sonata, viking, tomb raider anniversary, fifa08, grid, assassin's creed), patches, saves all my my 256k memory card.

I play online.

HDD is not necessary if you don't need to download expansions, demo and stuffs like this

ARCADE is the same console as PRO or ELITE, without HDD (that you can eventually buy later)

Game saves are mostly 2MB I believe.

You will need the HDD for certain games (PSU and Halo 3 co-op come to mind), but for most online games it's fine.

It uses 256 IIRC

Hehe, thinking of getting a 360 KoW?

256 MB mem card

I have about 30 game saves and 3 profiles on the mem card and about 200 megs is free. ( I have 120 gig hard drive but its better if profiles and saves can be moved to freinds machines sometimes)

Has HDMI and same processor.

20 gig hard drives will be going for less than 30 bucks on ebay pretty soon so I don't see why an arcade owner wouldn't get one.

The only thing you are not getting in the arcade is a headset and a component cable.

I wonder which games do not work on the XBox 360 Arcade version? Some of the X360 games require a HD to be able to play them.
