Forums - Nintendo - Suda 51 is back ! ( Flower, Sun and Rain )

Neither the PS2 Version nor the DS Version seems to be in vgchartz game database. That's sad. I wished I could see the sales numbers of the earlier iterations of this game ...

It seems interesting, what are the projects Suda is famous for?

I think Killer 7 and No More Heroes.

Aw man, Killer 7 had a fantastic art style... no wonder that guy is famous.

I don't think he's famous... so much as a very small group of people think he's REALLY awesome.

Will it be out for US soon?

Yeah, he makes cult games that are extremely loved by some people and ignored by a lot of others. Think Kojima but even moreso.

Hmm ... I have no idea how I could miss that game. Thanks celine for informing us.

... after a few recherches it is an enhanced PS2 port. And the DS Version was released in Japan on 06. March 2008.

It bombed like every Suda's games in Japan

From what I've read about this, the concept sounds really interesting, and I'm a sucker for detective games anyway.

However, the presentation makes me feel queasy. The character models are PS1 standard at best, and the soundtrack contains too much George Gershwin stuff (I abhor that man's music).

It's not so much that we THINK he's really awesome, as it is that we REALIZE he's pretty fricken awesome.

Heh fair enough.  Killer 7 is one of my favorite games of last generation.  Sadly I didn't play it until this generation.

Glad to see this game is getting some recognition. I, for one, can't wait to play it... for obvious reasons. =P

"'Casual games' are something the 'Game Industry' invented to explain away the Wii success instead of actually listening or looking at what Nintendo did. There is no 'casual strategy' from Nintendo. 'Accessible strategy', yes, but ‘casual gamers’ is just the 'Game Industry''s polite way of saying what they feel: 'retarded gamers'."
