This is good news for Taiwan, and quite expected.

But it has little impact on Japan. The Japanese version will be out a LONG time before the other localised versions will, and will actually be in *Japanese*.

Unless MS end up sweet talking SquareEnix into porting the Japanese version to the 360 (unlikely!), it has no bearing on Japan whatsoever.

If it comes out to Japan, I'm pretty sure that SE's credibility will be completely shot. Yes it's a business, and they want to make money and blah blah blah, but the reason y their credibility is at stake is cuz IDK how a person (or company in this case) can say one thing and completely do the opposite and expect to still have some credibility left. IDK, I don't understand hypocrites and can't stand them.

The "Asian version" will be the same as the US version except the description in the back cover will be printed in Chinese and the game will most likely can only be played in the 360 sold in Taiwan and Hong Kong. I read the original report written in Chinese, the Head of the M$ gaming division in Taiwan said they will "talk to their HQ in US" to request the localization of FFXIII when they sign the contrast w/ SE.

I don't own a 360, but I heard 360 games are region coded, aren't they?
Anyway, I doubt Japanese gamers who wants to play FFXIII will wait for the Asian version.

i think the whole reason its ps3 only still in japan is because of the not even a million mark. but then again, if it was ps360 then maybe the japan 360 sales would sky rocket because of the cheaper unit to play ff xiii...

japanese speak japanese! (kanji, hiragana, and katakana), not mandarin (chinese).
