If it's a popular game, I don't doubt it will be ported. Obviously, Valve isn't going to do it and they've already admitted that they'll let EA do it if EA chooses to.

Thus, I think it's only a matter of time and if EA will be competent enough to make a good port.

yawn...since when does a game being popular result in it being ported?

Since 3rd party games existed?  As long as games aren't 1st/2nd party (Halo, Mario), paid off (GTA4 DLC), or hard/expensive to port (MGS4), they typically get ported if it's worth it.

And it sounds like there's enough PS3 gamers would would buy Left 4 Dead.

LEFT4DEAD411.COM
Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release.  (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )

I couldnt care less if it's ported 6 months after the 360 version. Because I would have finished it 5 or 6 times by then. 360 fans why care? A late entrance in a party is good, a late entry in gaming is forgotten about.

No matter the platform, gamers will be getting what looks to be a good zombie survival game where the AI director could potentially make the experience radically different every time based on how you play.

EA is the one who has the final say (they are EA after all), but Valve is a pretty trustworthy source.

EA actually have no say at all. Valve and TR are making the game and own the game 100%. For EA to be allowed to do a port Valve would have to agree. As this statement shows that obviously didn't happen. Lombardi is someone you can trust and tells it like it is, if he says no PS3 L4D then you can believe it.

I don't even know what this game is , no love lost.

Valve also admitted that while they wont make a port, it can come on the PS3 if EA chooses, I think EA has some say on the matter. Esepcially if EA says that they want to bring it to the PS3.

I guess it will be on the PS3 in April 2009 or something.

Imagine not having GamePass on your console...

Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?

+1

but its actually a year after it was launched. I guess thats how long it takes to optimize a port to the PS3. The best part is that you can now find a copy of Bioshock for $29-$39 for the 360, but the PS3 version will go for $59.

Edit: For some reason I thought you where refering to Bioshock...  oh well
