As for whether or not it will gain back market share the ps3 lost is way too early to tell. Anything can happen by then.

i have absolutley no idea what the PS4 will be like, i assume that Sony will have some sort of plan to regain market share though

PS4 will kick butt with all three or maybe four consoles being on a level playing field.
I assume either Apple or EA could enter the console market next generation.

wii mote won't be the huge thing anymore.

sony already got hit by their mistake huge price to make.

nintendo is yet to get huge third party support (and i mean quality games AAA games not quantity).

I expect PS4 will have the best quality Blu -Ray player of the consoles next generation, while the other consoles will have lower quality Blu-Ray players in them.

It is like saying an old bomb of a car is still a car in comparison to a guy who owns a brand new Mercedes Benz.

But if a new improved media format is released that surpasses Blu-Ray is on the horizon, Sony will use that in their next console. Sony have used a different media format in every one of their three PS consoles

That's actually a very bad comparison. I'd gladly take a Honda Civic over a Mercedes (unless it's free). I mean, I don't need to show off what I just bought so I can feel happy about it. Sure, it can probably be more reliable (still, I question that), but as long as it takes me from point A to point B, I'm OK!

LOL...Sony fanboys. Why don't we just call this the Blu Ray room? Blu Ray only survived for one reason and one reason only and im sure you all know why.

Sony will have to take the focus OFF of Blu Ray if they want to be a front runner. Blu Ray was their detriment. While they were focused on what DVD format they were focused on, MS was focused on gathering installed base, developers and games. By the time Sony could retaliate...their most important games were multiplat.

just wait and see in 7-8 years when they even announce they have the specs and what not of their next console...
