I really don't think it would make much of a difference for Mario.

On Topic: I think yes.  Nintendo has learned from their mistakes of N64 and GC; they need to have the software lineup to continually excite.  E3 sucked but that was not their full line up (even for 08).

I would cite regulation, but I know you will simply ignore it.

Yes, I do.

I think it will be a straight sequel to SMG, using the same engine & assets, which will greatly speed the production time. (A few new suits, new level designs, etc., and maybe a new mechanic or two.)

I think that SMG was generally too successful (sales, critically, & aesthetically) not to do it.

NSMB has nearly tripled SMG in sales and not one word of a sequel, and it was also very well recieved, so I don't think t hat means anything.

Top 3 favorite games: Super Mario Galaxy, The Sims 2 (PC), The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker

Said Miyamoto:

"Making these 'traditional' games is what I am best at. Because games of that nature take upwards of two or three years to make, we always have to keep the teams working on those projects going. At any given time, the team could be five to ten people, or it could be 50-plus. People are always switching in and out of those teams.

"They are all working on more Mario, Zelda and Pikmin projects," he said. "And they all work in close proximity to me, so I can keep a good eye on them."

First of all: what does Miyamoto understand with "traditional games"...

I think yes, there will be another 3D mario, at least, i hope so.

Hopefully he knows something, being that he, you know, invented the 'traditional' game as we know it today.

And yeah, he confirmed a Mario Galaxy sequel before it even came out.

Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?

"Ok, girl's trapped in the elevator, and the power's off.  I swear, if a zombie comes around the next corner..."

I wish they'd make another Donkey Kong Country.

I take it he means games like Mario, Zelda and Pikmin.

Long long long ago when the sky was still blue I bought my local Nintendo 64 Magazine.  It was a special version because on the cover it said  'New Mario game in developpment'!!!  I became hysterical because M64 was a awesome game and I opened the magazine to find a interview of one of the freelancers with Miyamoto where Miyamoto stated that they are working on a new Mario game....  I waited and waited and never saw a new Mario game on the Nintendo 64.  So I am saying I don't expect a new Mario game on the Wii BUT I hope so.

Maybe there will be one more one the Wii but couldn't say for sure when.
