Come on Sony, it's 2008 already, you can stop talking crap.

Sony once again talking about graphics cos they KNOW they got nothingelse on thier competitors..... and when did graphics suddenly mean everything? Despite drakes fortune been graphically amazing i didnt see it win any game of the year awards..... did you?

Well, I guess one gets what one pays for when it comes to public remarks from corporate executives.

How much did we pay for those remarks? Oh, yeah. They're free.

I don't give much credibility to statements from the big three when it comes to this sort of thing. Now a completely independent 3rd party (not someone paid to do a "study" or a games publisher with a vested interest) saying something like this would be noteworthy.

Well graphically the ps3 is slowly moving pass the 360. slowly...

future ps3 games will be better looking than 360 games. once developers have got fully used to ps3 hardware, they can work on the visuals much more and achieve much more on screen than the others can.

since they arent competing with the wii...they arent competing with the 360...who are they competing with?

your still not one of those who claims ps3 will fail are you?

Bold claims indeed from Sony's VP of product marketing, but claims which we're sure Microsoft will strongly disagree with. -------------------------------------------- i agree there are ps3 games out and are coming out that are better looking than wii360 games, but the question is, will future wii360 games look the same as ps3, or have a quality lower, or be higher quality than ps3 games?

Some of the games on the PS3 are definitely beautiful, graphically, and it is possible that some games such as Uncharted are good showcases for the graphical prowess of the PS3, but just how much better are the graphics than what's available on the 360? Is it a small difference (Mass Effect vs. Uncharted)? Is it a quantum leap as in GT4 vs GTP5?

I would have to say it's the former, and even then it requires a careful examination to really determine the difference. Also, what does having somewhat nicer graphics translate into as far as video game or console sales are concerned? Is MGS4 dramatically outselling Uncharted because it has better graphics? I doubt it... people are buying MGS4 in droves because it has a bigger fan base and is a more compelling title. Halo blew away Uncharted in sales, so what did having "great" graphics do for Uncharted?

So, when an exec from Sony, MS, or Nintendo claims their console has feature X that will cause angst for the competition, I say "show me the money."

Actually one could've gotten B.C. on the ps3 if they bought the right version...

Also it may sound conceited but its true. Ex. Killzone2 is showing the ps3 is moving up with lens flare and deferred rendering.Most complain or target the games lack of textures or grayish color. That's opinion...
