Forums - Sales - About the Recent Publisher Sales Revenue Figures

Who knows why they defer the revenue the POINT is that they DO defer the revenue.

Battlefield BC - Madden NFL - Dead Space - Mirrors Edge - NHL, etc are all expected to sell more on the Xbox360, especially with the coming price cut so therefore despite the recent financial reports to the contrary, it is safe to say that the Xbox360 will remain a more important platform for EA in the forseeable future.

Tease.

I think we already discussed this. EA is required to report earnings in accordance with GAAP rules, but they also note on their reports their non-GAAP earnings. The difference is the deferred revenue that they book for Sony and Nintendo. They publish the non-GAAP numbers because they feel this gives a better measurement of what is actually happening within the quarter. The non-GAAP numbers are included for your review.

starcraft - Playing Games = FUN, Talking about Games = SERIOUS

I found it just an interesting read...

I ignored the title of the article and focused on content. To me, it was just interesting how numbers are being paraded in the press without any understanding or explaination as to what they really mean.
