Forums - Nintendo - Wii official running out of steam ?

this thread is a trap for the Wii fanboys

There are a bunch of trolls posting on alt accounts, so I kinda figures something was fishy, lol.

The only question now is wheather I should go back and individually own every troll, or just leave it.

I find that lately a lot of trolls try to defend their comments. They'll say something completely offbase like, "DS games have SNES graphics, while the PSP is next gen" and I'll call them a troll. They will then put some actual thought into their posts to defend themselves.

If they cared so much, why not put some thought into their original post. Nobody likes to get owned, but when people troll around saying stupid things that they don't put much thought into, then no matter how eloquently they post their defenses for their trolls, it's not gonna work. They can't go back and change what they originally said, or how they said it. A little forethought will prevent a ton of headaches.

I know it's every easy to just go around and spout your lazy generalizations about everything you hate, but if you slip then please, for the love of god, don't try to defend yourself with a wall of text. There's nothing to defend. They said something stupid and wrong that they shouldn't have said. If they want to prove they are classy and smart, then simply say, "Of course you are right sir. I shouldn't have worded what I meant like that. I apologize."

You'd be surprised how much better you feel after you post something like than, then having to worry about being owned by every fanboy, who knows you've messed up(everybody knows you've messed up when you troll), and trying to justify your mistake. You can still win, even if you make a mistake. Just admit it.

How to not get owned:

A. Don't generalize - The Wii is for casuals!

B. Don't make absolute predictions - The Wii will sell less in December than it is now!

C. Don't infer - All fad consoles die in the third year.

D. Don't damage control - The Wii only sells this well because of the price.

E. Don't speculate with "hope" - This week is the start of a downward trend for the Wii in America.

F. Don't troll - Haha, look at that. I scoff at you. Haha!

G. Don't be hostile - I hate every man who owns a PSP! Those system are for geeks!

H. Don't lie - The Wii has never been supply constrained.

Now, if you follow these rules, you can still get owned. However, you reduce your chances greatly of making an unacceptable error when you post.

If you were wrong, and you do get owned, simply apologize, and you'll still win.

Always do what they don't expect. Otherwise, you end up on the wrong end of the argument, and probably facing harsher consequences then you originally intended, as a result.

If you say, in plain language, what you think, and then put the word "imo" after it, and make sure that what you say isn't terribly offensive to a majority of posters on the forums you're posting on, then you shouldn't have any trouble staying "owned-free."

I don't need your console war.
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor.
You're power hungry, spinnin' stories, and bein' graphics whores.
I don't need your console war.

NO NO, NO NO NO.
