I've only purchased 2 XB originals, plus Doom, and SotN. I doubt I would play the rest. I've actually played the demos for every one extensively, though. The only problem with Gemetry Wars is that the demo might as well be the actual game, lol.

True, regarding Geometry Wars, however, Geometry Wars 2 is so much more complex.  The trial doesnt do the full game justice.  The game is amazing, a must buy.

Braid will be coming on Wednesday, I am looking forward to that one, as well as Castle Crashers, and the new Puzzle Quest.  All-in-all a great thread.  I have 6 out of the 10 listed above.  I also download a bunch of the old school trials, like Paper-Boy, Missile Command, Tron, Street Fighter II, ect........just for strolls down memory lane.

Oh, yes, Braid. I can't wait!!!

I just dont have any interest in these, I much prefer the content on the PSN store

I'm going to assume that what you said WASN'T meant as an insult towards Symphony of the Night.

Now, I haven't had much experience with the PSN store.

However, you should keep in mind that this top 10 list isn't all the games available on the 360 arcade.

Mortal Kombat 3, Gripshift, and SoulCalibur, for instance.

One of my favorite features is the Xbox classics. They have some really great Xbox games that are available for purchase, relatively cheaply. Indigo Prophecy, and Stubbs the Zombie, for instance, were cheaper to purchase than their retail counterparts. Fable, Ninja Gaiden, and Jade Empire are also avaialbe on the service.

Also, most, if not all games on XBL have full online leaderboards, if not full online play.

And most games have themes and gamerpics you can customize your 360 with.

Overall, XBLA has been my favorite online download service, despite the fact that I downloaded Ocarina of Time and Super Castlevania on my Wii.

While I'm sure that PSN has an excellent selection of games, I'd be remiss if I didn't mention that I believe concensus opinion contradicts your statement here. However, I do respect your opinion, as I generally find concensus opinion more wrong than right.

I'm just saying that you shouldn't judge the serice according to these 10 games. Its main strength lies in the broad selection of games, and their integration with the Xbox 360 via the dashboard, online mode, and themes or gamerpics.

Afterall, there is nothing better than playing SOTN in HD with enchanced graphics and custom soundtracks, from a downloadable service. Nothing.

@ zen, the originals do interest me but they would take up most of my HDD space, so they are not really possible for me. Also, it is completely ridiculous to charge for gamerpics and themes. I must admit that I have not looked into the XBLA games selection that much, but the ones I have looked out have not greatly appealed to me

I bought Catan a minute ago and it is very fun. Okay, I lost the first game, but the next one will be mine. Can you play it online via Xbox Live? Didn't check it. This would be awesome, but anyway it is great.

Yes, it has online multiplayer, that's the best part!  After a few practice games, try playing a ranked match.

We don't provide the 'easy to program for' console that they [developers] want, because 'easy to program for' means that anybody will be able to take advantage of pretty much what the hardware can do, so the question is what do you do for the rest of the nine and half years? It's a learning process. - SCEI president Kaz Hirai

It's a virus where you buy it and you play it with your friends and they're like, "Oh my God that's so cool, I'm gonna go buy it." So you stop playing it after two months, but they buy it and they stop playing it after two months but they've showed it to someone else who then go out and buy it and so on. Everyone I know bought one and nobody turns it on. - Epic Games president Mike Capps

We have a real culture of thrift. The goal that I had in bringing a lot of the packaged goods folks into Activision about 10 years ago was to take all the fun out of making video games. - Activision CEO Bobby Kotick

A lot of arcade games come with free gamerpics after you play them.  I haven't paid for a single gamerpic or theme and I have about 40 themes and more gamerpics then I can count.

i own Geometry Wars, Castlevania, Doom, and Uno.

I am definitely going to buy Banjo Kazooie. That should be in the top 10 XBLA games once it's released

Catan makes the list. That game is awesome. The XBLA game still can't beat the real board game but its still pretty damn awesome.

Catan XBLA can beat the real board game in one thing: it doesn't take 30 minutes to set up, 2 hours to play one game, and then 30 minutes to put back away.

Exactly.  Thats why I REALLY want Heroscape to be made for XBL, or even as a retail game.  You spend more time setting up the friggin game than playing it.

I actually don't care much for Catan.  But both my wife and I prefer Carcassonne.  We really enjoy that one.

I just use pictures from my computer as backgrounds on the blades. Never bought a theme. I do pick up free ones every now and then. I have never bought a gamerpic before either. I have bought lots of XBLA games though. Lots of good ones. Vigilante 8 is one I am really looking forward to. Also, Braid.
