Forums - Nintendo - My okami Wii impressions, the brush stroking was hard wasnt true.

I would still like to see a special edition version of this game made with the ending included in the Wii version and alternative PS2 control scheme offered for classic controller. Possibly even updated Wii controls with the Wii+Plus motion controls. But its unlikely. Oh well, one can dream can't they.

I dont like this game anymore. I had to backtrack to get the dogs only to in the one location get told I have to go somewhere else and in the other there was a moronic carrot digging game. Stopped right away and never looked back.

Guess I am too old for obnoxious tasks.
Ahahaha, I wander for over an hour, feed almost all the animals, kill enemies, ask the fortune teller and all that and what you have to do was to speak to a man to know where will you go and to   realized you have to go to the other side of the map to advanced. Like this game :)

end of core gaming days prediction:

E3 2006-The beginning of the end. Wii introduced

E3 2008- Armageddon. Wii motion plus introduced. Wii Music. Reggie says Animal crossing was a core game. Massive disappointment. many Wii core gamers selling their Wii.

E3 2010- Tape runs out

The game definitely has more than its fair share of 'annoying' sub-games and elements. But you just have to get through them, to enjoy the real "cream of the gameplay".

I'm finally at the final boss (or so I think :P), and the last few hours of gaming have been heavenly. The final boss also rates as one of the best I have ever seen (in any game) in terms of creativity and experience.

Its definitely worth it - fight through these poor bits for the full experience.

(the most annoying bit in the game IMO was the "bamboo" digging game - it was just a little too hard, and it actually took me a while and some real thinking to finish it).

I'd love to see a "super-enhanced" version of Okami as well. Even on the Wii, the gfx are "low-res" - this could be fixed. Polish the controls & combat, improve the celestrial brush.

Oh, and add a difficulty setting as well. The 'game' itself isn't that hard - just some frustrating moments with the brush. You end up with so much money at the end of the game, you can basically buy anything you need (unlimited health, damage attacks, ...).

Remove those "static" cutscenes, and replace them with either in-game action, or some nice CGI.
