That's a laptop. That means -5 points for me.

The processor is a very low end one, -1. The video card is quite weak, -1. It has Vista, -2.

I rate it 1 out of 10 for gaming. Laptops are not good for gaming, even the highest end ones.

I doubt you can upgrade anything besides the HDD (which is probably the best on that machine), if you really REALLY want to game on PC, you should look on building a desktop.

Stfu and gtfo.

I've used Vista since it came out and it's been fine. Sides, DX10. =P Any true PC gamer would be using Vista to run the most recent games.

You can make a pretty nice desktop for $450.....Ummm...off of memory:

AMD Athlon 64X2 5400+ (2.8 ghz) = $87.00
*EVGA (lifetime warranty) 8800GT = $129.99 (also free Crysis game!)
*2GB Corsair RAM (lifetime warranty) = $34.00
Standard DVD Drive = $20-$30
250 GB Western Digital HDD = $54.99
*Antec 900 case = $79.99
Any decent motherboard = $79.99

(Monitor, keyboard, mouse not included (assuming you already have those) )
*NOTE* Any product with a '*' has a mail in rebate to achieve that price!
Check these items on Newegg if you're not sure...

EDIT: OK this rig is ~ $536...(Check EDIT 2)

EDIT: Darn, I forgot the PSU...That'll add another $50 or so...

would it be expensive to upgrade this laptop? I only paid 450$ for it, and id rather not have to pay more to upgrade then I paid for it.

i aint to good with american priceing but by the price of the 360 and ps3, then looking at the specs of the laptop and how much you have payed for it, havnt you been coned.

How long ago did you get it

You ain't too good with any pricing apparently...just because it costs more than a 360 doesn't mean it should have better graphics...this is a laptop computer, not a gaming console.  Laptops always have less performance for more money because it's portable, and it still does way more than consoles can, it's a computer after all...it's not just for games...$450 for this laptop is not a bad price, but it's no gaming machine.  Some extra RAM would never hurt.

Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release.  (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )

Sorry, but my experience with Vista has been less than stellar, and that with a better system than the OP's ^_^

I think TigerDirect ships to Canada, you could get stuff from there.

I agree with fazz since this is a laptop.

If you have a laptop, I would advise getting XP if you can, because laptops can't handle Vista as well as desktops. You will see lowered performance all around with Vista, ESPECIALLY with only 1 GB of RAM.

And DX10 is pointless...it's a very minor visual upgrade at the cost of probably 10 fps, and that's for cutting-edge systems. For anybody with an 8800 and below, there's no benefit to running DX10, therefore no benefit to using Vista.

I would highly suggest building a desk top computer. You can easily build one for well under $1000 that will be able to play all of those games on high settings with good resolution.
