What do you mean by Wireless communication?

the wireless devices in your wii, ps3 and 360 that allow you to connect to the internet with no wires, even the controllers and headsets fall into this category.

wireless helped me alot at university. i had to share a connection with 3 other people, and the only way i could play online with my ps3 was either go downstairs to where the router is, or play wirelessly in the comfort of my own room.

I'm quite surprised that some people believe the industry could live without Nintendo's platforms.

PS3/360 development costs are substantially bigger than those of the last generation, while the gaming audience didn't increase that much. There is no way the industry could sustain itself at its current size with those platforms only.

Sony/MS's moneyhats mask this situation a bit by making those platforms seem more viable than they are, but the situation is still quite visible.

The current industry would suffer the worst blow if Sony goes away, however, it will suffer a huge, but a smaller blow if Nintendo left. Both will have terrible concequences.

@Xen: Why do you think Sony's fall would have worse consequences for the rest of the industry than Nintendo's? I'm just trying to understand some alternate viewpoints here.

@ NJ5, I think it will be awful if any of them left, but I do not think that Nintendo are beyond the others

@Munkeh111: Why?

your basing your opinion on this generation alone though. what if nintendo left in the generation before this, or the one before that? or the one after this? would it have been so bad then?

@DOATS1: I was assuming we were talking about the present. In the previous generation, it wouldn't have been so bad, of course (although the handhelds market would suffer).

nintendo: the industrie need casual gamers because they are the hardcore gamers of the future. the wii is a great introduction to the gaming universe so in the long term nintendo is good for sony and microsoft

Bet reminder: I bet with Tboned51 that Splatoon won't reach the 1 million shipped mark by the end of 2015. I win if he loses and I lose if I lost.
