@Talkingparrot I meant the ps3 version. Also you mentioned Smash Bros which is a Nintendo game. You still have yet to answer my question about Existing Big Franchises on the wii that sold poorly.

@Obliterator The Wii attracts non gamers casuals, and core, while the ps2 only attracts Casuals and core. As for sales, no matter what sony does it won't best the wii. The wii just has more mainstream appeal. It targets 3 separate demographics, probably even more, while the ps3 only targets 1
Can you give me proof it wont?

I'm afraid an Add-On wouldn't have the same effect as a standard controller. Also the Wii also has many more casual and non gamer targetted games, and a cheaper price.

It's called common reasoning logic. The PS3 could beat the wii... however to suggest it would is just pure fanboy nonsense devoid of logic.

Put it this way... can you prove the Sega Dreamcast won't suddenly be brought back into production, be sold for 1 dollar a unit and used in a program to be traded to the UN for food rocketing it ahead of the PS2?

Making a ridiculious prediction based on faulty logic makes your prediction a bad one even if it beats the odds and comes out correct.

Call of Duty, Zack and Wiki,  Far Cry, No More Heroes, Boom Blox - just about any title that isn't Nintendo or a Carnival / Guitar game.

@Talkingparrot No More Heroes is the best selling Grasshopper game, and sold more than a multiplat on the ps2, and gamecube by many times. Boom Blox was advertised to the wrong audience and has excellent legs btw. How about you look at existing ips like Resident Evil to compare with an existing IP. ANd that is a game that targets one demograph while KH targets many.

No More Heroes sold less than 400,000 units.  Don't even begin arguing about Boom Blox being targeted to the wrong audience.  The only games that will break 1 million on the Wii are casual games like Guitar Hero, or pick up and play Nintendo titles, like Super Smash Brothers.

Releasing a game like Kindom Hearts exclusively on the Wii would ensure average sales. It would be far more smarter to go Wii / PS2 than Wii alone.  Or PS3 / 360 than 360 alone.

Yet outsold every other Suda 51 game and made them tons of profit and they even had a party to commemorate its success...

And as for the Wii/PS2 thing...

NOMURA IS NO LONGER MAKING PS2 GAMES!!!!!!!!!!

If you didn't already know this either you don't keep up with news, never played KH, or both. Which one is it?

It would make zero sense to not make Kingdom Hearts go multi on both Wii and PS2.  Unless of course, YOU do not want it to go to PS2. If it went PS2, I'm garunteeing you, thats a million more sales.

I said existing. Call of Duty was a poor launch title with bad controls. Far Crys the same. No more heroes is an existing series and yet again I say its the best selling game from the developer. FIrstly boom blox isn't core, and also isn't an existing series.

Sonic and the Secret Rings... 1.68 Million

Resident Evil Umbrella Chronicles 1.48 Million

Red Steel 1.06 Million.

Best selling PS3 JRPG? .15 Million.

By your standards and logic PS3 doesn't sell RPGS.

Resident Evil 4 too.

Sigh, too many Nintendo apologists on the site. The reality is this - the spiritual succesor to Kingdom Hearts,

FINAL FANTASY VERSUS XIII is a PS3 exclusive. Nomura likes the PS3, not a little, ALOT. Nomura is co-developing two Kingdom Hearts title, one on PSP, and on the DS, and both look amazing.

It is NOT far fetched to see that Kingdom Hearts will stay either exclusive to PS3, 360/PS3, or be Wii / PS2. I don't understand the Nintendo fantacism for wanting Sony to fail on here.

"It actually attracts a wider audience then the PS2 has." What audience has it attracted that the ps2 didn't?

The ps3 keeeps on improving.

So does the Wii.

Its hard to believe it has such a large amount of sales do to the price and lack of games. Can you imagine the sells when the price drops to 300 or below? Dont tell me the price doesn't matter. Last I recallps3 sales went up by 170% in Novemeber(Price drop) . Total sales of 496,000. It shows that money does indeed play a factor in this.

Of course money plays a factor. In fact below $250 and I will concider getting one. But a Wii at $100-$150 (and available) and I know several people (eight I can count without thinking hard) that will buy one. Only one would buy a PS3 other than me. The rest that might be interested already have one.

"Ps3 won't be doing well soon." How can this be true? Their about to release an 80gb for $400. That would probably mean more sales. God of war 3 is coming... Wouldn't that tranlate into sales? You saw what MGS4... Ps3 has the best line up for the year so far and everyone knows it.We have'nt heard any news about kh3 whats so ever. Which gives the ps3  more time to grow a bigger audience.

Stop using absolutes when it comes to opinion. "PS3 has a really good lineup for 2008. It has the games I am looking forward to the most." Was that so hard? But I agree. The future for PS3 looks bright.

I'm sure that as soon as the ps3 gets another price drop it will be selling just as well as the Wii if not better.

I think my thoughts on this line are clear.
