The only reason people think that it could be on PS3 is because the originals were on PS2. Another reason might be to have extremely good graphics and make use the processors of  the 360 or PS3.

Times have changed however, as DMC and Final Fantasy have shown....who knows.

 

EDIT: When I think about it...I think Kingdom Hearts may be on PS3. You see how long they've been taken to announce it?

Thats because the PS3 is a bi*** to code for, leading to constant delays. Over, and over, and over.

 

PS: So how was the Tales forum soriku?

I'm pretty sure SE know how much kids would love to "be in control of the keyblade!" or whatever else bullshit tagline Disney come up with. Yea, tapping A isn't gonna work for that 12 year old japanese kid dressing up as Sora every other weekend. Why put the game on the Wii if it's not going to take advantage of what the wii is all about?

If you're honestly suggesting that the motion sensor of the wii mote isnt going to be the main instrument in attacking in KH3 if it does arrive on the Wii, then you're being a bit naive.

How about you use the A button for normal attacks, then there is a more stronger attack that uses motion controls. That way everybody would be happy.

Too bad you won't be able to play Final Fantasy Versus XIII.  Nomura's spiritual succesor to Kingdom Hearts.  Lets hope Microsoft 'buys' that too.

Why do you think Microsoft would have to buy the entire IP to have it on they're console?

 

if your talking about just putting it on a different console, it doesn't have to make sense. DMC, GTA, and Final Fantasy already have taken the jump, and sold extremely well, with the exception of FF(hasn't been released).

Before anyone says anything I could give less then a crap about Kingdom Hearts. I never played the previous games, and quite frankly cannot understand the appeal of playing with Disney characters. I find the characters so wholesome that they offend me. Give me Warner Brothers any day. Hell give me Hannah Barbara. Even Harvey toon characters have greater appeal with yours truly. So I think I am about as unbiased as you can get. I would actually see a brand new game instead of seeing this particular franchise get a third.

 

Yeah sorry, that arguement is full of fail.  Nomura, the creator of Kingdom Hearts, has a fond fond like for the PS3.  If you know anything about Square Enix and the pediogee of developer's you'll know that Kitase (the person in charge of Final Fantasy XIII), has wanted to break into western development for a long time.  You'll also know that Tri-Ace (Star Ocean, Infinite Undiscovery), are very fond of the Xbox 360.  Kindom Hearts will stay with Nintendo and Sony.

You are forgoing way too many logistics to be wishing that Xbox 360 gets exclusivity to Kingdom Hearts 3.  It would be more than possible for multiplatform, but exclusivity, God no.  Microsoft first off would have to pay a ludicrous amount of money.  We're talking in the realm of 200+ million.

 

But lets forget money hatting altogether.  Do you know how many Japanese fans would be upset and angry about the Xbox 360 getting the title exclusively?  I think you took what I said and misdirected.  The chick up top said that she hopes Microsoft "buys" the title.  Ensuring Microsoft would have exclusivity over Kingdom Hearts.  This is not likely.

 

I could care less if the title is multiplatform.  The more people who get to play it, the better.  However, it will upset me if one console ends up getting it.  The title can be lead PS3, and be ported down toe 360 and Wii (with concessions).  The title can also be on Wii and PS2.  However, if it were to be exclusive, it would be to PS3.  Ask Nomura, whose current spiritual succesor to Kingdom Hearts, Final Fantasy Versus XIII is exclusive to PS3.
