Despite the fact the game will be front loaded, first day sales were either 70,000 or 80,000 (if they didn't include the bundle). Knowing how X360 games trend after first day sales, you should be able to add another 20,000-30,000 to it, not 3,000-13,000.

TOV may sell up to 90k for the week.
However PS3 will still outsell X360 in consoles sales in Japan for the week.

No big game out in Japan on PS3 for the week.

It will be the first time the X360 will have outsold the PS3 in Japan in any week in console sales. But PS3 console sales will be higher than X360 console sales the following week in Japan.

The X360 actually outsold the PS3 before...When Ace Combat 6 launched.

Thats pretty odd that it would happen when Ace Comat launched. Do they really like that series over there?

It was a combo of quite a bit of things that led to the X360 barely edging out the PS3:

1) Ace Combat 6 sold 73,000 units first week (obviously enough to move hardware)

2) X360 price drop by $50 (in effect, what we got in August)

3) Robust list of Platinum Titles (which all sold very very well)

4) Lack of new PS3 software

Of course, the next week, Dynasty Warriors 5 launched as well as the white PS3, and outsold the X360 by 50,000 units, but hey! The X360 did win for 1 week! :)
