The PSP has remakes of FF I, and FFII, while the ds has remakes of FFIII, and IV. So its very likely that a FFV remake will be announced for one of these platforms. I would rather them skip FFV, and go to VI, but I guess they would have to do FFV first. So what are the chances it will be announced? I would say 60% chance for DS, and a 40% chance for PSP if announced. A 60% chance it would be announced.  I probably wouldn't buy it though since I didn't think FFV was a good game, but I would look forward to the inevitable FFVI if this happens.

Hmmm lets see FFii psp 0.20 milion... FFiii DS.. 2.22 million...

(kidding, kidding: I think the chances are fairly good. 80%+. I doubt we'll be playing it anytime soon, but an announcement will come sooner rather than later, because really, do they have any reason to keep it secret? Will anyone on the planet be surprised when it is announced?)

FFV gonna be for DS. Then FFVI. I don't think FFVII will be remade, but who knows.

FF I and II have been remade countless times and the PSP remake was just the final (hopefully) in a long line of remakes. (WSC, PSX etc.) With the latest port being only a small jump in graphics.

FFIII for DS was the first remake to my knowledge and saw a huge uprade from its original NES version. Also, IIRC, FF3 is considered one of the best ever in Japan, where FF2 is considered one of the weakest in the FF lineup.

Also, look at the FFIV DS release in Japan, it has only sold 660k lifetime to the 1.07M of FFIII. That gives you an idea of how well well liked FFIII is in Japan.

I think it's gonna go to DS due to the fact that the previous 2 sold really well and they already got the 3D engine running and pretty well.

Also FFV and FFVI did really well on the SNES, therefore sticking to Nintendo platforms should be the ideal thing to do.

What I wonder is if they will show DQVI.

I don't care for FFV since I heard the story and characters were weak by FF standards. FFVI is what I want.
