Good deal.
this was a great buy in my opinion

i actually have 2. and imo its the most reliable
i have left it on for 1 week inside a 42" cabinet with doors closed
and it actually handy as a good heater
the machine keeps going and going and going
best $2800NZ i have spent
If all you really want is the backwards compability, you should have bought a PS2 instead. If you desperatly wanted a blu-ray player then maybe your purchase was not that bad.
Paying 450 dollars for a gaming console you don't really want to play games on seems quite... stupid.

Uncharted, MGS 4 and LBP are worth buying. War Hawk well only 400k sold of that game, it's an acquired taste.
great buy, check out metal gear online its addictive its different to other shooters.
(comes with metal gear solid 4, the best game comming out this year ).
i got the 40gb but my ps2 is strong as ever, and may replace the HDD later
RENT UNCHARTED! It's fun, and beautiful, but waaay too short. It's not a must buy, but it is a must play.
Congratulations on your purchase, first game recommendations are Uncharted, Resistance and Metal Gear Solid 4
End of 2014 Hardware Predictions (03/03/14)
PlayStation 4: 12-15million
Xbox One: 7-10 million
Wii U: 8-9 million (Changed 01/04/2014 from 7-9 --> 8-9 million)
Why would you buy a system if you weren't interested in its games? I paid $600 for my 60 gig and I can't find enough time to play all of the games on it. If it makes you feel any better, the 60 gig cost Sony around $1,000 to make.
Thanks for the input, Jeff.
| CDiablo said: I came across someone that was letting go their lightly used (around 10 hours) PS3 60 gig for $450 flat. Truth be told I bought one for 3 reasons 1) Full BC 2)Possibly no BC in future models (software emu may happen in the future) 3)Future resale value Now missing from that list is games and Blu Ray, because outside of Warhawk, I dont have any desire to buy any other games for the system now or in the future (I will rent Uncharted, LBP though). I kind of feel buyers remorse already, but am happy to be able to play my old PS1/2 favorites upscaled. Im I an idiot for buying a PS3 at that price? |
Don't worry, you shouldn't feel bad at all. When you are in my situation and paid $600 for it when it first came out, theres no point of comparing anything worse than spending more for the console. Still good for your purchase.
My 60g died with the dreaded error code curse. So id say you should have got a 40g or 80g instead
