^This is my prediction people. Well I have a good chance of PS3 reaching the total of 40 million consoles sold by 31 December 2009.

Wii should be over 70 million by end of December 2009. X360 will be just over 35 million consoles.

PS3 in front of X360 by around 5 million consoles by end of 2009. This  sounds reasonable to me.

*Fixed: adjusted X360 and Wii estimates. Up by 5 million consoles on original estimates. I am sticking with 40 million PS3 consoles by the end of 2009. I was so tempted to state that PS3 would of reached 50 million consoles by end of 2009 as my thread.

I don't think 40 mil, but it does look like a good prediction, only because I'm too lazy to do math to double-check.

I honestly find it very difficult, sales will have to raise a lot. 35 million I'd say.

Wii may be at 75 million by the end of 09 since Nintendo has upped the production.

360 will be at at least 35 million.

I highly doubt it while Nintendo is swallowing up the casual fans Sony used to have. It disrupts the math by leaps and bounds. Sony will have to have people accept $399 as a normal market price tag world wide to reach by the end of 2009 to reach 40 Mil...and it just isn't working.

Well, he did struggle on Finals. He failed his Methodology section, but he aced Nature of Fanboyism.

So 18 millionish 2009? Well hey it its almost in the realm of possibility.

IDk, 40 mil next yr is kinda of a stretch. I see PS3 getting to like 21-22 mil this yr, that would be around 18 mil next yr. Only way is if the price is slashed by alot, making it like around 300 or so, and if it were to get a slim version.
