I don't think it will ever be the most expensive, but you never know. I know a lot of the Wii's sales are because it is different, but it seems likely that at least a fair percentage (20-25%) are because of the low price. I think that if the PS3 gets near the Wii's price, Nintendo will drop it.

PS3 isn't twice the price anymore, and Wii on average sells double what the PS3 sells.
ignring this though... yes price affects the percieved value, but cutting the price in half does not equate to double the sales.

That was not even the question. The question was will Wii ever be the most expensive. But PS360 fans had to derail the whole thread cause they can't take Wii outselling their precious consoles so have to keep saying Wii only sells cause of the price. It hasn't even hit mass market price and is selling better than any other console ever whether cheaper or more expensive.

the wii is cheapest to produce and IMO the most boring platform to own, so i highly doubt nintendo will ever try and justify getting people to pay more for the wii then a ps3 or a 360

Some might say that the bolded is evidence that the mass market price has changed (due to the need for cheaper entertainment due to the recession, decreased value of the american dollar, etc).
I agree that sales will rise once its cheaper, but the sales have already established that the mass market is willing to purchase at $250.
