Forums - Nintendo - Wario Land Shake It! Sales discussion.

First week Japan:

8
Wario Land: Shake It!
Nintendo 1 24,620 24,620

What do you think?

I am pretty sure it will have decent legs, probably beat every other 1st week title this week in the LTD.

I would cite regulation, but I know you will simply ignore it.

Yeah, I hope it does better.

You would have hoped it would have opened better but it didn't. Legs? i have no idea. I hope they are good because it deserves it haha. But TOS2 had no legs and I hope this doesn't have a similar fate.

In America will have better sales for sure, but those numbers are not bad. In one month it will be near the 100 k

Castlevania Judgment FC:     1161 - 3389 - 1512

3DS Friend Code:   3480-2746-6289

Wii Friend Code: 4268-9719-1932-3069

looks kinda shitty i think

the numbers, not the game

“When we make some new announcement and if there is no positive initial reaction from the market, I try to think of it as a good sign because that can be interpreted as people reacting to something groundbreaking. ...if the employees were always minding themselves to do whatever the market is requiring at any moment, and if they were always focusing on something we can sell right now for the short term, it would be very limiting. We are trying to think outside the box.” - Satoru Iwata - This is why corporate multinationals will never truly understand, or risk doing, what Nintendo does.

Seems low considering past Wario games. Maybe Wario just is falling off the Mario bandwagon or something. Or it has to do with Super Paper Mario and New Super Mario Brothers giving alternatives to Wario 2Ders.

Since before the Warioland games were the only place to go to get Mario like 2-D Platformers anymore.

Or it was a case of Nintendo's "not revealing games" strategy failing.

I honestly think it has something to do with this.

At the very least Nintendo could have advertise it a little, there was little to no hype from what i remember.

^^^ This is what you get for blowing a rumor out of proportion

Chocobo brain damage!!! Here, drink this diet Coke..*runs*

Currently playing :

VC - Ogre Battle March of the Black Queen
Wii - New Super Mario Bros. Wii
DS - Glory of Heracels

Honsestly we should see the legs of the title to jusdge it. Right now 100k isnt even a possibility

Every Nintendo game can't be a winner. It'll probably still sell nicely for the remainder of the summer.

360 Games Now Playing   360 Games unopened:  Resonance of Fate  Last 360 Game I Beat: Resident Evil 5

DS Games Now Playing: Dragon Quest VI  DS Games unopened Knights in the Nightmare, Etrian Odyssey III, Okamiden, Dragon Quest IX Last DS Game I beat: Radiant Historia

Wii Games Now Playing  Super Mario Galaxy 2, Arc Rise Fantasia  Wii  Games unopened  Little King's Story, Sonic Colors, Silent Hill Shattered Memories Last Wii Game I beat: Sin & Punishment 2

platinum worldwide would be great for this game, but it needs better sales in the west to get there. In Japan, I hope for 100k - more seems just not possible.

@Zucas: That's the way how RPG's sell in Japan, very frontloaded. ToS 2 still sold a great number though, for a Tales game that is.

Currently Playing: Skies of Arcadia Legends (GC), Dragon Quest IV (DS)

Last Game beaten: The Rub Rabbits(DS)
