Forums - Microsoft - Blue Dragon Dated: MS Shows EU Some Love

http://www.gamesindustry.biz/content_page.php?aid=26201

London, 28th June 2007, Microsoft Game Studios today announced that the highly anticipated role-playing game (RPG) “Blue Dragon” will go on sale throughout Europe on 24th August for the estimated retail price of £44.99. Rated 12+ “Blue Dragon” will usher in the next generation of RPG exclusively on the Xbox 360, with a combination of realistic environments, anime-styled characters, unique battles and a deep, compelling storyline.

The NA Release date is the 28th, I believe, so EU gets it four days earlier, and it coincides with the rumor that the 360 Elite will be arriving in EU on the same date(24th).

Nice! Congradulations PAL. You get one of the best RPGs ever (atleast I hope so) a few days earlier.

Hopefully this game gets some major Pre-Halo3 love, and sells real well. MS needs a big hit in Europe that doesn't involve shooting things.

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.

Where is the American date? I don't think there even is one yet except for August 07...

Thanks to Blacksaber for the sig!

This is good news, cheers me up after the rumours that Mass Effect won't release this year.

How well do you think this will sell in N.America?

Think it can sell a million before end of 2007?

PS360 ftw!

Currently playing..........

Gears of War 2, GTA IV Lost and Damned, Little Big Planet (Yes I said I had no interest but my girl wanted to try it and we did and now Im hooked )

1m in the US for BD? Not likely.

IMO, it certainly deserves uber-sales, but I just don't think that BD will appeal to US gamers as much as Lost Odyssey or Mass Effect will. I am anticipating around 500k+ in the US. However, it does have the potential to have strong legs and do alot better.

I predict 500-750k lifetime in the US. Mass Effect will be the biggest 360 game outside of Halo 3 this year, Lost Odyssey I think won't do better than Blue Dragon.
