Forums - Nintendo - Anybody got Pokemon on the Wii?

Did anybody get the new pokemon on the Wii just wondering how it is?

Not yet, renting it so it's supposed to come from Gamefly sometime soon. Gonna see if it's purchase-worthy.

Thanks to Blacksaber for the sig!

I'm not really sure I see the point of it. I mean it made sense in the days when hand held pokemon games needed that stupid cable to play eachother. But now playing against a friend on the DS is so damned easy. Perhaps I'm just completely ignorant, but it seems like technology has left the need for this game in the dust (especially judging japanese sales)

I'm a mod, come to me if there's mod'n to do.

Chrizum is the best thing to happen to the internet, Period.

Serves me right for challenging his sales predictions!

Bet with dsisister44: Red Steel 2 will sell 1 million within it's first 365 days of sales.

Whne you get it let me know f it's worth it cause I was wondering about that. Thanks

Well i just got it today and if you have Diamond/Pearl it's kinda worth the money. But the rental pokemon are messed up. It's not like Stadium, they just give you a rental pass with six preselected pokemon and later in the game you win other rental passes.

You can't choose which pokemon you want to rent, and that sucks. Only the graphics and the online play rock.

Pokemon Battle Revolution has been getting middling reviews across the board - even Nintendo Power gave it a 6.0/10.0, saying that it doesn't really bring much to the table beyond the 3-D graphics and online play. And yeah, the Rental Pass approach is enough to make me give this one a pass since I don't have the DS Pokemon titles. I'll wait for Mario Strikers Charged to give Wii online play a go.
