Forums - Sony - Motorstorm 2: Pacific Drift - who is buying this stunning game? MS2 > MS1

The 1st game was the best PS3 launch game for me, and is still one of the best PS3 games in its library, so I certainly will be buying MS2.

I'm hoping for:

- A slight improvement in graphics over MS1 (which is still stunning as it is).
- More game modes, including offline multi & a 'create you own race' mode where you can alter all the game settings.
- A longer 'campaign'.
- Faster loading screens.
- More content in terms of both vehicles and tracks, but mostly tracks.



Do all that and it'll be perfect for me.

 

to answear your questions:

- it looks that way from the trailers
- you mean basically an exhibition mode? I dont know, but I assume they would do that
- Well, there are twice as many tracks and more vehicles, so I assume yes to this and your last
- I think that is what previews have said, though that is not 100% certain

So it will be nearly perfect then?

They improved it so much. Motorstorm1 was killed by missing splitscreen but graphics and driving were great. And this looks even much much better. Will most likely not build it fullprice but perhaps cheap for some fun racing with friends.

Might buy it. I have a lot of other games to get though and right now the likes of LBP, Resistance 2, etc... take preference over MS.

Those graphics look insane though.

My question is though, after watching the video several more times in disbelief, is are those REALLY the in-game graphics? :P Some of that stuff just looks too damn good >_>;; And they did something like this with the first Motorstorm did they not? Granted Motorstorm 1 looked amazing!!! But this man :P This is nuts!

I'm just going to be renting it, but it does look good and quite the improvement over the first on in graphics and features.

Definitely getting it. MS1 along with MKWii are what made me like racing games despite finding them boring previously.

I'm pretty sure that's CGI, but the first Motorstorm ended up looking almost as good as it's CGI trailer, so don;t be too surprised if this one looks almost that good. (dude. if you have a PS3. you HAVE to download the Motorstorm 2 trailer in HD)

OT: Definite first-day buy for me.
