According to forum members here, Target are selling the new sku at $299. If this is not just a Target price but across the board how do you think it will affect 360 sales in America? I think it's the perfect timing for this. Also if it stays this price then I think M$ could get 120,00 - 140,000 in America weekly. Your views people. Remember I have no source for this info other than the people on this forum who have seen it on sale at Target for $299.

well the official price is what microsoft says it is, but retailers can knock down the price as they see fit.

Actually, they can't. the price is the price. It's set by the MS, Sony, and Nintendo. Consoles are one of those things that are fixed price (might be the only thing). That's why bundles are so popular.

Anyway, if it's $299, this means Sony better drop there price, or they are in big trouble in the US.

It's not $299 folks. It's 349, like the 20GB USED to be.
