Okay. The first day hasn't *quite* happened yet, but....

I can tell you that the first day sales, once completed, are going to be HUGE! With about 9-10 hours left before I can make an announcement, and exact comparison between any game, GW2 has already passed 10,000 units sold, and should hit 14,000-15,000 first day, if not more.

If this number is indeed true (and it could even beat these numbers), then Geometry Wars 2 is looking to sell around 35,000 units first week! This is very impressive, because it is on track to beat the fastest selling title, Rez HD by around 10,000 units in it's debut week.

I'll have a news article up around 10am EST with the actuals. I will also be posting 1942: Joint Strike, Go! Go! Break Steady, Golf: Tee it Up!, and Soul Calibur 5-day Actuals and Weekly Estimates up too, for those that enjoy the top XBLA games of the week.

Expect 1942 to see a small decrease vs. it's debut week (which was pretty good), and a larger dropoff for Golf: TiU and SC.

It's date got bumped up a week due to the issues Bionic Commando had with ratings. Microsoft announced it as the first of the 5-part "Summer of XBLA" for August.
