Mikami was so pitiful.

LEFT4DEAD411.COM
Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release.  (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )

Great episode, for me Death Note have the best plot ever in an anime, I thought Light was going to win and then Ryuuk will kill him, too bad nobody in the SPK group or the L's group helped Light. At the end Light looked crazier that I expected .

I didn't understand too well the Mello-Takada-Mikami thing, when Near saids that he won thanks to Mello and Mikami by writting the Takada name on the note, and Light saids "You stupid! I told you to do nothing!".

When Mello kidnapped Takada, it forced them to kill Takada to cover any evidence.  The only problem is that Mikami didn't know that Light could kill Takada, so Mikami went to where the real Death Note was to kill Takada for him.

Since Mikami went to where the real Death Note was, SPK found it and realized he was using a fake one the whole time. They then replaced his real Death Note with a fake one. So Mikami really had 2 fake Death Notes.

If Mikami had not went to kill Takada, he would still have the real Death Note and he would have killed Near and everybody else.  It was Mikami's own devotion to Light that got them both caught. This is why Light yells at him. If he had done nothing they would have won.  They were also forced to do all this because Mello sacrificed himself into getting Takada caught.

That's the best I can explain it.

And thanks Ben for fixing the link.

I like Deathnote, but I have always felt overall the show was somewhat overrated. A lot of better animes get overlooked in America, mostly because of bad dubs that give them a kiddie image (Looking at you One Piece). It's hard for me to pick a favorite anime out of the hundreds I have watched, but I would say Robotech Macross probably tops my list still.

Nope, not overrated.  I don't think in any way One Piece is better than Death Note. I've seen the subbed version of One Piece and I feel we have enough never ending anime action/comedy shows already. Too many dbz inspired shows for my taste. Macross Plus is on sci-fi channel on monday nights. Don't know if that has to with the show your talking about, but it's good to.

Edit: I have no idea why this is not working for me. I copy and past the embeded part from youtube onto the file part of insert/embedded media button and press insert and it still doesn't work???

One Piece is NOTHING like DBZ.  It's nice to have an anime like One Piece with a sunny style, real humor, characters that don't DEM (I'm soooo tired of this), and *gasp* character development that doesn't include the typical "bad boy" hero.

What's DEM?  And if your referring to Death Note with the typical "bad boy" hero, it's anything but typical.

Also, I said dbz inspired. You know characters like Luffy who are a lot like Goku.

Deus ex Machina. It's when something ridiculous constantly happens to save the character. Like every time he is about to die he suddenly becomes massively stronger (ala Super Saiyan) or he magically trains up to super strength in a couple days to beat an enemy who should far outclass him. There are a lot more but these standard anime plot devices are practically nonexistent in One Piece. Luffy's powers remained unchanged for 270 some episodes, and he had to figure out more creative ways to use them, and develop his OWN skills, rather than rely on random transformations to save himself. Even when he does finally get a form of transformation (the Gears) they are really just a new way to use the abilities he already had. And, yes Light fits the typical anime hero pretty well, though in general Death Note isn't too bad about sticking to athe overused anime plot devices.

Edit: I'll give you that luffy shares some characteristics with Goku, but is a much better developed personality.  Limited character development is a downfall of many animes, DBZ especially.

thanks Diamuerto for explaining that, I downloaded a english subbed version(and my english is not that perfect) while I always download the spanish subbed version but I was too excited to wait. I haven't watched One piece but when I have time I will check it, have anyone seen an anime called "ergo proxy"?.
