Instead of seeking to convince others, we can be open to changing our own minds, and seek out information that contradicts our own steadfast point of view. Maybe it’ll turn out that those who disagree with you actually have a solid grasp of the facts. There’s a slight possibility that, after all, you’re the one who’s wrong.
The new 80GBs ps3 is suppose to come out in September in Europe and NA but October is the month for the ps3.
Reasons:
Others:
Motorstorm 2(Motorstorm 1 was big in Europe)
Little Big Planet(a lot of press)
FIFA 09
PES 2009
Midnight Club: Los Angeles(Europe love car games)
NA:
Motorstorm 2(will sell a lot of software but may not move much hardware)
Socom(will move systems, i know at least 20 people buying a ps3 for this game)
Little Big Planet(lot of hype)
Fallout 3(mult. but should be big)
GH IV(I think a lot of PS2 owners will make the move to ps3)

PSN ID: getrdone25
If little pixy fairies invade the eath tomarrow what will we do?.... C'mon now, the 360 sold a 100k the ifrst wek of the "price drop", down to 87k this week. it will probably be in the 70's next and back to the 50/60's the week afteras far as Sony goes, once they get the swwitch from the 40 to the 80 straightened around their numbers will be back to normal. In fact it will probably have a couple big weeks due to people who havent been able to find one, finally being able to buy one. In the end the difference will be that MS probably gained a whole whopping 100k on the PS3, and in the grand scheme of things that is pretty miniscule. Fanboys on all sides are getting way to wound over all of this.

If there was a permanent price cut, this might be an issue, but there isn't, so I think it is a short term thing.
We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers…Also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls. The only thing that really worried me was the ether. There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge. –Raoul Duke
It is hard to shed anything but crocodile tears over White House speechwriter Patrick Buchanan's tragic analysis of the Nixon debacle. "It's like Sisyphus," he said. "We rolled the rock all the way up the mountain...and it rolled right back down on us...." Neither Sisyphus nor the commander of the Light Brigade nor Pat Buchanan had the time or any real inclination to question what they were doing...a martyr, to the bitter end, to a "flawed" cause and a narrow, atavistic concept of conservative politics that has done more damage to itself and the country in less than six years than its liberal enemies could have done in two or three decades. -Hunter S. Thompson

That's exactly it. Both of the conditions that have resulted in the current sales are short term. A temporary price cut on one side and a supply issue on the other.
...
kirby,
I would not bet too much about this trend.
This is ONLY du to the PS3 numbers in NA that are du to shortage.
The Xbox360 will soon come back to normal too ...
(UNTIL THE real Xbox360 price cut which the effect will also not last ...)
Time to Work !

@Kirby, My last avatar was a Wii avatar. I spent just the other night Playing SSB for many hours. I call it as i see it, and not as i dream it. The current state of things is clearly temporary for a few weeks. i just find it sad when people make outlandish claims that will only be thrown back in their faces in a few short weeks.
