I think you should give Final Fantasy X a try before finally deciding if you dislike TBB.

Also,did anyone mention Odin Sphere yet?I have yet to complete it but so far it is amazing.You should also try some original Paper Mario fun,heh!

Persona sounds intriguing. What about Odin Sphere? I've heard that it's good, but I don't actually know anything about it.

Odin Sphere was great! I loved it! The only downside was the slowdown whenever fighting the huge bosses. The PS2 couldn't handle everything on screen and the framerate goes down hard. It's still playable though, and I really reccomend it. Most GameStops have it at clearance for $15.99.

I always wanted to play Xenogears, but I don't want to pay $50 for a used copy. It's on the Japanese PSN store, but Sony doesn't seem to care about the US store's PS library. That and FFVIII were the only worthwhile Square RPGs from those days that I seemed to miss.

Prediction Aug '08: We see the PSP2 released fall '09. Graphically, it's basically the same as the current system. UMD drive ditched and replaced by 4-8gb on board flash memory. Other upgrades: 2nd analog nub, touchscreen, blutooth, motion sensor. Design: Flip-style or slider. Size: Think Iphone. Cost: $199. Will be profitable on day 1.
