FINAL FANTASY VIII THE GREATEST GAME EVER

no it isn't lol, much of them is pre programed AI.
if you destroy where they are hiding normally they would just counter attack in fear or do whatever they are programmed to not find another place to hide...
of course this only matter in a total changing enviroment.
they are taking it abit further.

alot more than i am taking in my AI course :)

Yeah.

That's some dumb-ass A.I.

Moving when there's no cover, crouching lower and lower when getting shot at.

I think at this point, KZ2 could teach your children Calculus, and people would find a reason to bitch about it.

That's no great AI feat but its awesome and astonishing attention to detail nonetheless.

I would not judge a game, any game, based on a single level or area (I haven't watched the video but I assume that's what it is).

If this is just one area, I'll say that it's a scripted sequence and because the cover is destructible, they are programmed to "crouch lower". It'd be interesting if over 100 playthroughs they did something different at least once, that'd be intelligent AI. That's why I like gears 1 so much, if you play differently a second time around, you get a different result.

Also, one area doesn't define a game, from the majority of what I've seen of KZ2, there's a whole lot of scripted sequences that don't feel scripted (kudos to the team for pulling that off), but at the same time I've rarely seen the player get hurt in any of the videos.

I second this.. It's not that impressive because it needs not only that. But I do find it interesting that they react on their cover.
