Sorry to burst your bubble but unfortunately, I wasn't playing wii bingo with anyone.

I don't think it was possible to get a bingo, but a pretty good score nonetheless.

At least we'd get these:

"Only Nintendo games sell on Nintendo systems."

"Stupid casual gamers!"

"Nintendo is abandoning the hardcore!"

"Wii Fit!!????"

"Nintendo is destroying the industry!"

"Who cares about Wii sales? All the real games are on PS60!"

OK, perhaps you didn't say all of these explicitly, but most of them are at least implied ;)

Its too bad you couldn't "get" the actual pioint I made.

Do you want me to quote the posts in which you said/implied these?

Feel free. I'd appreciate it. It would seem that many have been following my ideas on this site. It makes me proud lol.

However, the point that I made on this new thread that "The hardcore wii owners mostly just want nintendo IP sequels" holds at least until someone can debunk the myth.

"Dr. Tenma, according to you, lives are equal. That's why I live today. But you must have realised it by now...the only thing people are equal in is death"---Johann Liebert (MONSTER)

"WAR is a racket. It always has been.

It is possibly the oldest, easily the most profitable, surely the most vicious. It is the only one international in scope. It is the only one in which the profits are reckoned in dollars and the losses in lives"---Maj. Gen. Smedley Butler

You're doing my work already, that's one less point I'd have to quote for the bingo... But seriously this is a waste of time, you won't acknowledge you're wrong about the slightest thing. There's no point in arguing with someone like that, especially when you start sidestepping.

@Pristine: Still crying? :S

Come on give credit to Nintendo for what it has achieved. You just came in here and said "Nintendo is a casual company, I'm afraid of the future".

Don't be afraid Sony will keep on releasing the games you want (or not) But much spaced between them. Don't tell me none of the sequels Sony could release don't interest you. BTW Wii's line up this year is fabulous. Next year is amazing and to think that we don t know what is Nintendo planning gets me even happier.

Stay away.. Its obvious you are a PS3 fanboy so why do you care about the games for the Wii?

Look up there in my quote, I wrote "A" too, but B and C might still be murderers. It's pretty simple logic!

Strawmen arguments are arguments in which you attribute to your opponent a position he did not hold. You pretended Zucas defended Nintendo was immune to the problem he was illustrating. There's your strawman.

Still, he could have used the wii as "A" and not the ps360 but he chose the path that he felt would have the greatest impact on me because he realized I wouldn't care if it was the wii he used in the arguement. There's no denying that.

I think his reply made sense in context... When you are arguing with someone, you want to contradict their statements with something. There's no obligation to make the replies as generic as possible, when you simply want to prove a point about PS3/360. The fact that you decided to focus on this irrelevant point doesn't help your side of the argument. It would be much more productive to keep arguing the points in question instead of sidestepping so much.

If you followed our posts, you'd realize that he brought up the points as a counter aginst my arguement that games like: "game parties", "beer pongos", "mario does triple jump", "Barbie is moonwalking" etc. seem to be the future of the wii. He insinuated that endless sequels to sci-fi shooters and traditional adventure games that plague the ps360 are worse than the wii's future line up. So I had to show him that in that case, the wii line up is 100% craptastic with respect to the hardcore because all they have is sequels as well.

I didn't read it that way. You were saying that 3rd parties are following Nintendo's strategy of ignoring hard core gamers. He replied by saying that PS360 developers mostly do boring non-innovating sequels. Both are generalizations, but yours is actually more wrong than his.

When, I see enough evidence that my point was pure fallacy, I'll gladly concede and do it with honor for that matter but Zucas was the first to take the arguement off track by criticizing sequels and i'm yet to see any post that debunks my opinion on the preference of the wii hardcore.

@Pristine20: There's plenty of game sales data on this website. Look at it, and you'll realize that good quality, well advertised games sell according to expectations on the Wii (or better). It just so happens that there aren't that many good quality 3rd party games yet. However, the ones which do exist, usually sell well for what they are.

The Wii isn't a magical platform though. You still have to make good games, and advertise them well to reap the benefits.

Exactly how is mine more wrong than his? Its really too bad that my point refers to the future so we really just have to wait and see but he's is just flat out wrong. He may considersomething like halo 3 "boring", I do as well. but the fact that 8 mil people beg to differ proves that there are tons who consider it far from boring (I hate to be defending halo here). Also, I'm willing to bet that he probably loves one of the following: SMG, SSBB, Metroid, Zelda, fire Emblem, etc. both halo and those series are nothing but sequels so it just shows his bias.

@Pristine20: Well, for one thing, your generalization has the assumption that Nintendo is ignoring the hardcore. Mostly, you seem to have based this on their E3 presentation.

I hope that part is true because it saddens me to know that some abominaware have actually raked in some good profits.

Still, the future of the wii looks like casual pandering all the way irregardless of the quality of the titles.
