Sony said this would happen at E3. The PS3 40GB units will be out of the sales channel before the new 80GB units are released on August 27. The shops in the UK are selling out already.

Expect really low figures until the new 80's hit the streets.

MS has a chance to build some more momentum through to the end of the year in both the US and Europe imo. Wouldn't surprise me if within a month the 360 was back on top week-to-week in the latter.

Dude is there any need for this? I didnt slag off the PS3 in any way. I didnt expect to see these numbers, and just posted so we could discuss. Have a look at my posts, I never go and troll on the Sony forums. And only time I get involved in any PS3 v 360 threads is in the gaming session, which I dont start I might add.I made a mistake. Get over it. From what alot of americans are saying though is there is alot of stock still available.

Sorry but the whole supply thing is utter Bullshit. I was in town (London, You know biggest city in the world?) and PS3's were everywhere, HMV,Dixons,Comet,Zavvi,Argos hell i even saw some in Blockbuster when i returned that awful film Semi Pro earlier (Damn you!)

Obviously that does not mean it can't be true in USA but i call BS on it. A company that sells best part of 400k after MGS4 doesn't take a month to re-stock at it's most financially critical sales point, that is company suicide.

1. London supply is COMPLETLY irrelevant, they don't even have the 80GB bundle.

2. The bundle would have been full blown in stock, but they are still draining out supply in anticipation of the new 80GB that is being released later next month.

3. ioi himself said massive supply issues, you know, the person who runs the site and is reponsable for all the numbers. You calling BS without proof, well, it means jack shit.

And London is not the biggest city in the world...
