You name two separate (but not mutually exclusive) groups: hardcore gamers, and loyal Nintendo fans. The loyal Nintendo fans are happier than ever. As for the hardcore? You'd say that no matter what Nintendo did, or does.

For some reason, they prefer game sales with legs rather than big sellers on its first month.... It sorta distributes income and keeps/sustains stocks at its current levels.....
