grats to Wii and I remember that thread too, I picked the Wii.

Above I'm a proud Gran Turismo fan, not a Sony fanboy, and now a proud 360 owner, but sharing xbox live accts ATM

End of 2009 Predictions (made Jan 1, 2009): My predictions were pretty accurate, the 360 was over and the Wii was just under.

Wii: 65 mil (yea I'm crazy) 360: 35 mil (its getting there) PS3: 30 mil (the slim better do well)

End of 2010 Predictions (made Jan 7, 2010):

Wii: 81 mil 360: 47 mil PS3: 45 mil

Pretty cool, 30m - didn't take THAT long.

Now - can it charge ahead, and hit 40m this year? At 350k/week, the next 3 months (14 weeks) will see around 5m in sales. That places it around 35m at the start of November.

Going to be interesting...

(its also edging towards 47% market share - on track for 50% this year!)

I don't know. How did the Wii go from 29.5 million (or something like that) to 30 million when the front page says Wii has 322k from America and Europe? What's that about?

Anyway, I have no doubt Wii will reach 30 million within a few weeks. But frankly, I wouldn't bet on these numbers to see if the Xbox hit 20 mil and the Wii 30 mil...It's just too close to tell.
