No.... but it will last for quite some time. But I noticed that Development is taking forever now, and dev cost is getting extreme....

True, but sometimes those developers need to manage their money and time better...

Wii: 80-85 Million end of 2009 (1.1.09)
They will last as long as video is a form of information transmission. One day we will have something else (hologram, memory implant, whatever), and games will move to that medium.
We will always have some form of gaming. We always have.

All this time I've been wondering if mankind is capable of surviving the expansion of our main sequence star and the fact that the Earth will become unihabitable in less than a billion years, but you've cleared that up |
lol, yea, even if the earth could last a billion years, there is no way man will. As far as species go, we are infants. Considering our relative frailty, and our thirst for destruction, I don't see us lasting as long as the dinosaurs did (150 million years).

Unfortunately the 3rd season of Dark Angel never came out and we never found out the ending. The people that were really behind the EMP bombs were Microsoft. Hidden inside every Xbox 360 is an EMP bomb. Red Rings of Death is a sign that the EMP ignitor has malfunctioned. Microsoft will gladly pay billions of dollars to fix your 360s for free, for up to 3 years. The creators of Dark Angel knew something was up and Microsoft didn't want their plot to be revealed, so they paid Fox to cancel Dark Angel.
Thanks for foiling their plans. -_-
gaming will go on until earth is destroyed due to a comet....
I hope gaming lasts forever. I can't imagine them getting rid of it at all. Way too many gamers.
I would give it another decade, or two, as the technological singularity is coming closer, culture will change faster and faster, too.
