Is this a case of konami not wanting anything to steal thunder from mgs, or are they unsure whether or not to even continue the series? they still haven't announced anything about it yet.. maybe they're not sure which platform it will go to?

Considering that the Suikoden series already has more sequels than other huge franchises like GTA or MGS, I doubt they will cancel the series (even though the last few iterations were not very good, IMO).

The biggest question about Suikoden should be what platform it will be released on?

Since the series was never graphics heavy i vote for Wii.

suikoden 5 was actually my favorite with the best story in this planet.

4 was a gamble that didn't exactly work.

3 was pretty good, best graphics of the series.

2 was the game that introduced me to RPG's. blew me away. i liked it more than FF7.

1 was something i never got to play sadly :( :( :( by the time i finished 2, i couldn't find one anymore!

i just hope 6 finds its way to ps3. if it doesn't, i'm going to buy whatever console it finds itself in.

Definitely a great series... I hope it hits both ps3 and 360. Suikoden V wasn't bad, but I still haven't been as swept away by the games since Suikoden II.

 Suikoden II was much better than the first one.  IMO you didn't miss too much, so don't worry about it :)

Last thing we heard of it was a rumor that it was in development for Wii. Makes sense. Most of the smaller Japanese franchises are coming to Wii. Tales, Tenchu, Fatal Frame. The AAA games stay on the HD consoles it seems. But apart from that it's very quiet around Suikoden. I hope they'll make 6.

In a few days it will be reveiled where the next MegaTen will go to.

 people tell me how wonderful it was.. and besides, i'm a suikoden maniac. if only the psp bundle existed where i am...

Maybe they will show something in TGS .

Hasn't someone on the Suikoden team say that Suikoden VI was in development back in 2006
