Activision Looking to Sell Sierra

Sierra's a shadow of their former selves, but Activision might be trying to sell the long-time publisher anyways:

Activision says it may sell off some of its Vivendi studios in an attempt to “better align” the company’s development operations.

Since Vivendi joined with Activision last year, much speculation has been growing about the company’s plans. Activision Publishing CEO Mike Griffith said Monday that the company is looking at selling off classic publishing label Sierra as well as its affiliated studios.

He said the firm will “realign staffing at Radical Entertainment and High Moon Studios” and is exploring “the possibility of divestiture” of Massive Entertainment and Swordfish Studios. He also said Sierra could be up for sale as well as Vivendi’s mobile games operations.

apart from F.E.A.R they have not done anything interesting in the last 5 years, they are shadow of their former self's sad really.

I hope EA buys Massive Entertainment then... just keep Ubisoft away from them...

This game was awesome

They could come back and make a game of that kind on Wii or DS. They have pretty much revived the point-and-click adventure genre. I loved (and still love) that genre. It would be perfect for DS. Actually the next Ace Attorney is going to have a King Quest like game play.

Leisure Suit Larry was good on Xbox

Dude I would buy Sierra. If I can get it for cheap like Acclaim was.
