Has anyone else experienced problems with maro kart online?  We love playing mario kart online but we seem to have to spend 1/2 to 1 hour getting disconnecte repeatedly before things start working.... I thought it was somethign to do with my network so i went and reset everything.  tried everything i could think of.  enabled upnp, disable upnp, reset wireless router.  get a different router.  (Right now i'm using a linksys 802.11g router). 

but nothing works

hm, for 2-3 moths I've been playing Mario Kart online, but now says "disconnected from other players" during the race or just before it starts!?

is it the same problem?

Do you get the same disconnections when using the Internet Channel or other online features?

Something in your house or near your house may be putting out radio interference. 2.4 GHz portable phones are a common culprit.

This is the same problem i am having!

Sometimes the wii needs to reset to get online.... this has been a problem since day 1.  But i don't think this is what's causing the disconnects.  (I've never been disconnected from the store, or the internet channel before).

most the time its as simple as resetting ur router and making the wii search for signal again.

I'll have to look it up again, but on nintendo.com I believe it recommends you set your wireless channel to 10 on the router. My Wii was not able to connect at all until I did that.  Also, my friend had constant disconnect problems, but then set the channel to the recommended setting, and the problems completely disappeared.

I've never had any problems.

Are you using wireless? Is anyone using your internet service for P2P applications like Bittorrent or Kazaa? If you aren't using P2P, try getting the Wii wired adapter. Wireless is not good for gaming.

Maybe there's another wireless access point nearby and the wii is switching between then.
